Toilet Cistern Dual Flush Valve Push Button WRAS Approved

Excellent product with eadily understood instructions

Not changed a toilet valve before, simple instructions to follow. They could be a bit clearer but overall no issues. At this time everything looks fine.

I'm no plumber and dislike plumbing jobs but I managed to fit this replacement dual flush syphon quickly and without any leaks. Fitting was really easy. I recommend that anyone fitting a new flush syphon also gets a new doughnut washer (this makes the seal between the cistern and the pan). When I separated our cistern from the pan I discovered the doughnut washer was a bit mangled and I didn't have a replacement. But I cleaned it thoroughly, applied a coat of Fernox LS-X leak sealer (indispensable for amateur plumbers) and there have been no leaks. The flush syphon was also easy to adjust and the buttons require only light pressure to operate the flush.

The unit looks well made and would work well except for one small but critical detail and that is that the threaded portion of the pipe that goes through the bottom of the cistern is 1/4 inch too short for my particular cistern. This meant that there was not enough thread left for the nut, that fits around the down pipe that fits between the cistern and the toilet bowl, to screw on far enough to make a proper seal. This resulted in me having to do quite a bit of mopping up of the bathroom floor. The unit is now with a local charity where I hope someone will be able to make use of it. I have now obtained a new unit from our local B&Q which looks almost identical but with a longer threaded pipe and it works perfectly and it has a better designed seal that fits between the unit and the cistern.

This was to replace our original flush which was a single action. Had to contact the supplier to clear up a small problem as the instructions said to fit a pipe that was not in the kit. Turns out that it isn't required so now installed and working well. The three of these should help to make a dent in the water bill each month.

Dubject to the fact that the cisteren needs to be dismantled to replace the old syphon unit this one was rasy to fit. It should be easy to replace the maun unit if it fails without having to dismantle due to the modular design. It is supplied with both sizes of bottom aperture, so should work with both old or new cisterns. The cabke ti the push button is long and easy ti fit and detach during fitting. It replaces the old leaver very well. Very satisfied with thus device.
