The first thing that stands out is how incredibly easy it is to use and install. I was able to power my USB Redtiger dashcam (which I also highly recommend!) by connecting the Dongar directly to my 2022 Hyundai Tucson's rearview mirror. This completely eliminates the need for long cables running across the dashboard or occupying one of the 12V outlets. The installation is literally "plug-and-play" and takes minutes. The fact that it comes with all the spare USB cable types is a fantastic detail. This ensures compatibility with a wide variety of dashcams, which is super convenient. I didn't have to worry about whether my dashcam would be compatible, as it came with all the necessary options. Great piece of Kit, easy to install, came with the correct adapter and also 3 types of connectors for your Dashcam. The box comes with instructions and how-tos via the QR code. Cable length is just right, not too long or too short from the rear view mirror, so it looks clean and tidy when set up. Runs perfectly when I start the car up and have had no issues with the power supply.

A nice simple solution that saves much fitment time. I used this to mount a Nextbase dashcam in a 2021 Hyundai Kona, and the process took me less that 10 minutes. I previously have used the official Nextbase hardware kits in various vehicles which have been trouble free if a little fiddly. This solution is much quicker to install, quicker to remove if needed and you can be 100% sure that the wiring is not going to obstruct an airbag deployment. Comes with a useful trim tool and three different USB adapters - all from the USB A output of the adapter to USB Mini, Micro and C. None were compatible with the Nextbase input but I already had the correct lead so they became useful spares. I found watching a YouTube video more useful than any instructions provided. For my Hyundai Kona you needed the dimming interior mirror fitted in order for this adapter to work.

The utter simplicity of using this item to connect up a dash cam fully justifies the rather steep price, and I'd unhesitatingly rate it at 5 stars, were it not for the difficulty I had in hiding away the rather bulky connectors. I did eventually manage to tuck them away and refit the cover, but it wasn't as easy as some of the online videos make you think! Of course the USB connector is so big there is no chance of tucking that out of sight (and it comes with a sticky pad for fastening to the windscreen, but that too seems to be so much larger than it need be. Using a USB-C connector instead of USB-A might help there. Also I found that USB connector cable provided (actually a helpful range of cables with different USB connectors on the camera end) was just a tad too short to be able to use it - another couple of inches might have made all the difference, but as it was I had to purchase a longer one elsewhere.

Works great in Kia EV3 (2025). Check YouTube for installation in this car, very easy to do (and easy to undo if you so wish).

Although not listed as supported, the manufacturer quickly confirmed the 10 pin Type H would work with a 2024 Kona Electric Ultimate, provided that it has a factory-installed non-digital auto-dimming mirror. They also sent a link to their own website for instructions and a video for the 2022 Hyundai Tucson which has a similar setup. This made things very straightforward for a quick and tidy installation all contained within the plastic shroud behind the mirror. A bit expensive for what it is but easily a great solution for simplicity, time to fit and neatness.

Ease of fitting was great, fitted into my 2021 Kia Sportage 3 1.6 mhev. Upon connecting everything up though I was getting no power to my nextbase 222 dash cam, Looking at the usb end of the adaptor I could see the light on so I knew there was power getting to it and I quickly realised it was the supplied short cable which was at fault. Took this cable and my dash cam indoors and plugged into my computer and there was 0 power going through the cable. For the price of this unit at over £40 you would expect the supplied cables to actually work. So some advice if you are purchasing this, do NOT rely on the supplied usb cables as they are complete rubbish, go buy your own at an additional cost on top of this expensive power adaptor.

I saw this product recommended on a Youtube video to connect a dashcam to the hidden power connection in the mirror/camera assembly on the windscreen of a Kia EV6. This product works perfectly on my EV6 and removes any dangling wires across the dashboard and display screen. The price, however, does appear to be a bit high for just a couple of wires and connectors, but nevertheless it is a unique product.

Bin durch Zufall auf das Teil gestoßen und absolut zufrieden. Wenn man keine Lust hat um für die Stromquelle einer Dashcam extra ein Kabel im Auto zu verlegen geschweige einfach vom Innenspiegel herabhängen zu lassen, ist dies die perfekte Lösung. Die Installation war in 2 Minuten erledigt und funktioniert. Da in meinem Kia aus 2013 ein elektrischer Innenspiegel verbaut ist, was aber auch zwingend notwendig, ist dies eine perfekte Lösung. Der elektrische Innenspiegel funktioniert auch weiterhin was mir auch wichtig war. Das Teil wurde auch exakt zum angegebenen Liefertermin zugestellt.

Esto es ideal para eliminar el cable molesto de las dashcams sin embargo, si tu dashcam se conecta a una segunda, este cable no tiene el voltaje suficiente para alimentarla, en resumen solo sirve para una dashcam conectada y no para dos, cuidado con este detalle!!!!

Well made and fits OEM connectors perfectly. I can confirm it is compatible with a 2024 Genesis GV60 in addition to the other models listed. It tucks in nicely behind the stock camera shroud too, making for a very seamless install. I used it with a Vantrue dash cam and they play nicely together. The mirror power comes on and off with the car and therefore so does the dash cam. It's a great solution for installing a dash cam without futzing around in the fuse box.
