Because Razor changed the bike..no suspension..mine did that on the first day. Junk! Razor should be ashamed..

Nope, I am going to get some for my son.  
He couldn’t ride a regular bike but does much better on this.  He won’t put his feet in the pegs, he lets them drag a bit.  
So training wheels would be a good idea.

What age chikld is this designed for?

My kids could ride this about age 8) when we got it and my oldest was 8). I would say being able to ride this bike is as more about being able to maneuver/support  the weight while not at a 10+ mph speed vs anything relating to height or etc.  I’m a 5’7”, 120# woman and it’s short for my legs but zips me around easily. My husband is 220? The bike was enthusiastic but was able to manage him as well.

I would consider the weight of the bike (85# or more?) and consider whether there will be anyone available to help your kiddo get the bike upright if it tips. Maneuvering the bike through a tight space in the garage is a challenge too (size + weight).

Staying upright on these dirt bikes is fairly effortless - easier than riding a bicycle.

We also have the blue/white version and it also lugs my adult weight just fine, but it is def sized for a little kid.

The bikes are just small. Short. They handle weight. They don’t feel like a real dirt bike or bicycle ergonomically. My 2 yo, 65 lb golden can outrun the bikes. Even going downhill where we maybe hit 20-25 mph? It’s just not fair we humans have to be so slow - no wonder we love roller coasters and these little razor bikes. Bahaha.

Anywho: if your kid is 8ish - this size will technically work for them. 9? For sure. It depends on your kiddos personality and if they’ll be scared to take off or not. Again: it’s easier than riding a bike. Very heavy.

My son is 3. It is 15" from the ground to his crotch. He can touch the ground on both sides when standing on his toes. Not tippy toes but far from flat footed.
