Can you leave the sound on all night?

Yes you can, my mother in law actually uses it but uses the mains as the batteries did,nt last very long. She reports a marginal improvement but as yet its early days as its advises a month before you have maximum improvement for a difficult condition .Good luck.

Please can this product be played all night, using the mains, and does it make white noise sound? Thanks in advance

Very late answer, but for anyone skimming the answers to find out about power options, it takes a 5.5mm outer diameter, 2.1mm inner diameter DC jack plug; it is marked as needing 6V, but as per my review, I am powering it with a USB to 5.5mm DC jack cable and it's perfectly happy with the 5V that USB provides, or you can purchase any adaptor that provides 5 or 6 volts and terminates in the 5.5mm DC jack connector. As for playing all night, yes, we do so all night every night (it isn't even too bad on batteries if you use reasonable ones!)

which A/C adapter should I purchase to go with this product? There is little useful information as to which adaptor to use in the pacakging.

Yes and it has a 30min timer, I usually hit the restart button once and then I'm off asleep, If I had to change one thing it would be to have a variable timer or at least longer than 30mins, but it works for me so can't complain too much at this price.PS You will need to purchase a lead / power supply, they're only a few £'s.
