Excellent Filters for Home Syringe Preparations
- These filters are excellent for filtering home mixtures and solutions via a syringe attachment. I NEVER prepare a solution without these anymore, & have never had an issue since. A little money now saves misery later. - Studies have shown (can search online) these filters filter out 100% of endospore forming bacteria that are common and can cause infections and abscess. These 0.22um filters are the size that should be used. The Endospore bacteria are found to be no smaller than 0.8um so these filter them 100%. Also the PES is found to not filter any of the "active compound" itself. The loss that can occur is that a drop or two may remain in the filter unit though I HIGHLY caution against forcing air through to produce those remaining drops. A burst of a few foamy drops can occur which is the residual particulate and filtrate being pushed around the sides of the filter. It's not worth the couple drops, or a small amount of water can be passed through slowly after. - The studies shows less fluid remains behind with the size 15mm or 13mm diameter filters than with the 25mm, though I prefer these larger 25mm. More surface area to filter which clogs slower and can be reused several times (the 25mm are rated for 10ml to 100ml total fluid filtered. Whereas the 13mm are rated only for 0ml to 10ml. Definitely a better value with these 25mm diameter filters). - A last note, do not use PTFE filters for fluid preparations in syringe. PTFE are hydrophobic and best used for gas exchange filtration. And the Nylon can tend to bind protein and amino acids which can result in filtering a bit of your "active compound". Use the PES only. These PES filters are really the best for home filtration of syringe fluid preparations. (poppy).

They are effective and reliable
Very reliable and affordable filters. They are of excellent quality, and get the job done nicely and efficiently. Well packaged for shipping, and nice to have 2 day shipping available. Very satisfied, will order again.

Convenient, worth the extra step
I have witnessed this used to filter BTH with miraculous results. Wouldn't do it any other way now.

For the price being charged and Prime shipping, these are a godsend that anybody needing clean solutions should overlook using.
Does exactly what it's supposed to, and if you're removing particulate from solution, these are the best of the best. The flow on both the smaller and larger size of the green models is far superior to the red ones, and as I understand it, the green ones remove much more troublesome bacteria and such from the solution. A blessing to have on Prime for the price being asked.

They simply work!
I've only had these a short while, but so far they're working exactly as advertised. Everything arrived in pristine condition with no packaging issues. Couldn't ask for more!

Inconsistent performance, uneven liquid distribution
I experienced significant inconsistency in performance across the syringe filters in this batch. When filtering the same 400 mL solution under identical conditions using an air compressor, some filters completed the task in just 4 minutes, while others took anywhere from 10 to 25 minutes. Despite maintaining even pressure during all runs, the slower filters consistently exhibited uneven fluid distribution, with liquid only visible on part of the membrane surface. In contrast, the faster filters allowed for uniform distribution across the entire filter, suggesting better internal construction or membrane quality. These may be ok for smaller volumes or where consistency between filters isn't high priority.
