These guys love eating decaying oak and maple leaves. Also, bark and moss is a favorite of the millipede. By adding living moss, you will add some nice green color and at the same time provide your millipedes with fresh food and hiding places. Everything from fruits and vegetables to bits of dried pet food are eaten, however, no bananas or carrots. You can feed your millipedes just by placing the food on top of the substrate. If the food goes bad or moldy, like fruit and vegetables, remove it before it starts to mold or rot. **Q: It is in the 80s and 90s where I live would a cooling pack be included or would I have to wait until it gets cooler?** A: We check the weather before we send anything live. If it is too warm, we do include a ice pack. **Q: Its 15F currently in MA, can you ship in this cold weather?** A: 15 degrees is a challenging transit. You would need to add a heat pack. Typically, I purchase them at reptile conventions. However, I'm very happy with this order. I received my millipedes alive and well. They the were packaged tightly with plenty of moisture and some food, along with husbandry details and some interesting facts.
