But $100 for beard trimmer is a lot, so the value here is debatable. I went with the more expensive SB version. But it nails my requirements, with being water resistant, adjustable, good quality, and with a plastic guard that isn't so long, it makes it tough to trim around your nose. Some of the other trimmers out there are probably a better value? But I've tried a few and this is my favorite. Only downsides, is that it's a little larger than some of the competitors out there, and a little noisier. But it seems to cut better.

I've had all the cheaper trimmers out there, they work ok, and perform well around $40-50. So why would you spend 3 time the amount on this trimmer? 1. The battery life is amazing, being a Li ion setup it can last a whole week before charging, which makes it perfect for travel. This is the only Li Ion panasonic beard trimmer out right now, the others are older tech that is cheaper. Step up to something better! 2. The motor is the most powerful i've ever owned, it sounds different, very very fast, very very smooth. My other trimmer sometimes felt like it was tugging at my long beard hair, this thing sounds like a formula one engine turning on, very satisfying sound and performance. 3. Insane fine adjustment! This thing can adjust itself in very fine adjustments, way more so then my previous trimmers. 4. Sturdy and well built, it doesn't feel like a toy. This feels like the Rolex of trimmers, a little bigger, a little heavier, finely machined and assembled. 5. Waterproof?! This thing can handle an adventure in the shower, or a quick wash down to get it clean again! The other ones in this series do not provide that. So who should buy this? Someone who wants to pamper themself on something better. We all trim our beards or body hair often, make it a peaceful experience! I highly recommend this trimmer!

Great Trimmer for the entire face and can be used on the body too. Powerful motor, only one attachment and it serves its purpose well. Has Lithium Ion battery, so it lasts longer per charge and I think it lasts longer overall than a NiCd or NiMh. Being able to wash it clean is great. I use the provided oil most of the times before and after use. It’s a small maintenance that the company says would improve the lifespan of the blade. One big negative is, like the other reviewer said, this trimmer spits out the hair all over the place. My other cheaper trimmers didn’t use to do that. Be prepared to clean around your sink a lot after using this trimmer :)

I don't understand the sizeing of these blades. A number 2 on this is ALOT shorter then a number 2 with a normal hair trimmer! But I must say, I really love my blades, they are perfect blades to work on a nice fade!

I know that a lot of reviewers complain that this trimmer makes the trimmed hair "fly" around the bathroom countertop. However, after having purchased a cheaper beard trimmer that had a built-In "vacuum" that sucked the hair into a small chamber, I decided to spend the extra bucks to buy this one because the cheaper model only lasted about 5 months before some of the flimsy plastic parts broke. This trimmer is amazing! When you turn it on, there is a "professional" hum of the motor. It has a really nice feel in the hand and is easy to maneuver. All of the trimmer parts are rinseable and the guard is made of a high quality plastic that won't break easily. There is an adjustment "wheel" that can adjust from super-short to five o'clock shadow length. Note: this is NOT a trimmer for long beards - it is meant to be used with close-cropped beards. The battery life is excellent as well. One full charge has lasted me 3+ weeks of daily trimming of my beard. It also has a great safety feature to child-proof the trimmer: simply hold the power button in, and the trimmer is locked so it can't accidentally be turned on. Another long-press will unlock the trimmer for use. I highly recommend this trimmer even though it costs almost double of cheaper models. But as I said, having been disappointed with a cheaper trimmer that didn't last more than 5 months, it is well worth the extra money.

After reading tons of reviews on different trimmers (seriously, I went through so many!), I decided to give this one a try and saved up for it. Here’s my honest take: Pros: It’s a very powerful trimmer – cuts through hair easily. The head detaches effortlessly, making it super easy to clean. Beard hair doesn’t get stuck in the trimmer head, unlike many others I’ve tried. Compact and portable, making it perfect for travel. Delivery was impressively fast. Cons: It’s quite expensive, which might be a dealbreaker for some. It doesn’t come with a case, which is disappointing considering the price point. Overall, I’d give it 4.5 stars. It’s a great product, but the lack of a case for such an expensive item was a bit of a letdown.

Good beard trimmer. I would love to have a noise and ear trimer attachement for the price.
