Kinect Joy Ride

It's a pretty simple game, but a great family game. My kids can play it themselves (they are 5 and 7) which is great. It's not too difficult to figure out either. We all like it here. Other reviews complain about the cost of the game. When I got it, it was on $20 so I think it was a good price for this game. Either way we all enjoy it here.

This game is decent. I play it the least out of the other Kinect games that i've purchased but that's only because car racing games was never really my forte. I'm not sure if it's worth the price. No 1 is ever playing it Live, it takes so long to unlock new race tracks and your arms get tired after some time. I think it has very little replay value but it's definitely worth a shot if you're curious as to how you control your vehicle. It's a little more fun if you play with a friend.

Amazing game! My 5 year old and I play every other night. My 2 year old likes it too and their car does ok too even though they don't have as good of driving skills as when you are older. Sometimes they even win. Best Kinect game we own. Download the free Chevrolet pak on xbox live and you can drive a corvette, Camaro, volt, etc. Its great!

I got this for my 7 year old daughter. Her and her sister love the game! There's no complex story to solve, just racing and doing stunts. They have a blast doing the stunts! And because it's Kinect, they get a lot of exercise doing it.

I love this game! My boyfriend and I really enjoy playing it. The controls work very smoothly. There are plenty of options to choose from in terms of game play. You can race, you can smash things, you can make poses...it's so much fun! It's a game all age groups can enjoy.

This is a fun game, but not ridiculously fun. It is an arcade-y racing game in the ilk of the original need for speed, and the gimmick is that you get to use the Kinect as the controller.Used at $16 is about my limit for recommending this one. $30 seems steep for a fairly one dimensional gaming experience. It's fun and cool for a little while.

I thought this game was just a car-race game. It is that, but it is so much more. With the Kinect interface it gets you up and moving. And it's more than just your arms. You have to lean forward, back and to either side to get the car to flip and spin to get higher acheivement points. It reminds me of the calisthenics from gym class, but fun!We really like to do the two-player DASH where you try to be the first to the finish of a mostly straight track, avoiding obstacles and collecting "coins".The only drawback is the $50 list price. We got ours used (Amazon marketplace) for ~$25 and it's definitely worth that price!

When I first ordered this game I was ordering it for my boys! When it arrived I was watching my boys play and was really into the game that when it was time for bed, The big boy decided to try the game out!I put my hands out, light turned GREEN and away my car went! I turned my hands right the car went right, turned my hands left again the car responded accordingly! I pulled my hands back like the screen suggested and gain boost and pushed my hands forward and a burst of energy came out from the tailpipes and away my avatar went!This game surprised me I thought it was just a game to get the kids involved with the kinect world! Like the title of this review .. This Game It's Not Just For Kids .. Enjoy!
