LIQOUR: light in color (more orange than red) and decently translucent for a flavored tea that is not high grade. Smooth and thick taste as I was generous with my leaf quantity. (I advise not using too much at first as the flavor is not so light) TASTTING: the leaf is similar to an orange pekoe or light Darjeeling. I'm sure AHMAD mostly sources Indian teas as they are a UK company. Leaf is by no means bitter, but be cautious as they make stronger blends that what most Americans are used to. The hilarious part is you can buy decorative tins of their black teas at home goods stores pretty inexpensive and it seriously some of the best tea I've ever had. My friend gets me one every year and now I spend my cold weather months drinking Ahmad tea. Every new style I try is great, and they don't need gimmicky names, or flavors to impress.
