The corse side when the hole is located in the top left hand corner. You can get some double sided,folding diamond sharpeners **Q: Which side is 600, which is 360? If you are going to say hole top right or top left... when card landscape or portrait?** A: higher the number - finer the grit. If you rub your fingers on both sides, one will feel slightly smoother - that would be the 600. On mine that would put the hole top left. However, that may not always be the case as I've had it the other way round before **Q: How do I prevent the diamond grit from wearing off?
