The speed of technology is so amazing fast that without a simplified booklet like this, one could hardly keep up with the latest progress in digital cameras. (Sometimes I really doubt if the salesmen of digital cameras can be knowledgeable and quick enough to learn what they are selling when technology is changing so fast with time). It helps to have a GH4 camera sitting beside you when you read the pages of the simplified instructions given. As some of the comments by others have already mentioned, there isn't a newer camera out there that is more advanced than GH4 today. (I think Nikon will find it tough to compete with Panasonic in the M43 market). That is why I hope the readers of my comments will realize that if they don't need a camera for taking advanced videos, a GH3 for still shots (and with adequate capabilities for normal videos) is all they need. GH4 is for advanced videos. I also recommend that before you buy a GH4 camera, it is worth spending a small amount of money to buy and read this little book first. It is loaded with concise and valuable information. (The owner's manual is very dry). I am not a camera expert, but I highly praise the value of this little book, owning both a GH3 and a GH4 camera. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A must have reference guide. I read this short book over the weekend and it helped me get the basics of shooting with my Gh4. I keep going back to it to find out just what a certain item on a particular menu does when I am trying a new shooting style. Written in plain speak, this book should be required reading for all GH4 owners.
