HP High-End Virtualization Server 36-Core 768GB RAM 16TB DL360 G9 (Renewed)

Purchased from ConfigureSystem and had two components that failed. Support was able to send me a replacement for each component that had failed and I am now up and running.

Purchased this for data analysis so just need CPU cores and massive memory. This fits the bill. Received it three days ago, slid it into my rack and plugged it in, checked everything is working, loaded my data on to it, and have been running it pretty hard for two days now. Everything is as listed and functioning exactly as expected. The server even had a sticker on it with contact information if anything is wrong. Really happy so far and I highly recommend.

I bought the 36 Cores, 768GB RAM, 16T storage version. Overall, I really like the server, but it seems like an one time deal. The positive parts for this purchase: 1. The server can turn on (LOL) 2. It only takes 5 days to deliver 3. The fan only run 19% of the idle time which is acceptable The negative parts for this purchase: 1. 3/4 hard drives are failed, which means I only have 4TB left(still usable) 2. The preinstalled OS is not bootable due to the hard drive failure 3. I tried to connect customer service from the label of the server, but not reachable 4. I talked to Amazon customer service, they assume me to ask their partner to contact me. No response.

Ciertamente batallamos mucho para que llegara el producto pero ya lo tenemos y funciona muy bien, es excelente su consumo.

At least of the server fans was loud, needs replacement - costs a few dollars and could have been replaced by vendor. Have to do it myself now.

Server arrived ahead of schedule, packed securely and in good condition. Very clean, with minor blemishes on case and front bezel. It came with updated BIOS, ILO and firmware and with dual power cords, a nice extra. CPU/Memory/Disk were as advertised. The disks were even setup in a hardware RAID0 for me. I popped in the ILO network cable and one of the other 4 main network cables, powered up and was able to find the DHCP for the ILO to log in and continue my setups. I dropped on Proxmox 8.3 and I was spinning up VM's within a few hours. Comes with Win 2019Eval, but I did not keep it. Very affordable for a home lab where the hardware's EOL status does not really matter to me.

Do to being a refurbished computer, some of the hardware (boards) might be softer and bend when being used - resulting in poor connections to the components that matter.

The product arrived in a securely wrapped box. All hardware listed for the product is accurate to the description, and then some. It arrived with two working 10GB ethernet ports (flexlom adapter). I've had the virtualization server for two weeks now. I was initially a bit worried how loud the server would be, but it's not terribly loud. It's quieter when it's powered on than when it's in standby mode. I've consistently run 15 VMs simultaneously without any sign of strain.
