In terms of the important aspect, which is filtering, it does the job really well. I can smell the chlorine in the tap water, but the filtered water has zero smell or taste. Unfiltered tap water left in a jug in open air gets a bad taste very fast, whereas the water coming out of this filter does not gain any taste even when left overnight. In terms of the 0 TDS, the filter really produces water with 0 dissolved salts (and potentially other particulates, but quantifying those is not possible with in-house equipment). In terms of health benefits, the water with 0 TDS lacks minerals and, in my opinion, is not really healthy long term unless the diet provides supplementary minerals. Unfortunately, that is the problem with a high efficiency filter that filters contaminants such as Lead or Chromium, it also filters the useful Magnesium and Potassium from the water. But with Magnesium and Potassium supplements that should be no problem and, in my opinion, that is a good compromise for reducing the heavy metals and Chlorine from the water In terms of the water PH, ideally, we should all drink mild alkaline water (PH>7), however, I measured the tap water to have a PH ~ 6.5., which is rather acidic and not very good for health at all. Fortunately, the filter does not further decrease the water PH by removing the salts from it, which was my main worry before I decided to buy it. The pitcher is terrible though. The lid does not close easily and the whole top bit wobbles and I worry one day when I am tired I will spill all the water on the floor. Brita's pitchers are much better designed in terms of assembly, but you do not buy this filter for that, but for its potential for filtering, which Brita is not good at. Overall, I would say the filter is great, but if you buy it for staying healthy and filtering the nasty stuff from the water, you should do a bit of research on how to supplement the minerals that are lost due to filtration. If you just care about the taste of the water, then the filter is great.

I had been using water filter bottles for on the go for some time and wanted to extend this to water I was boiling and using for ice too. After much research, I decided to go for the zerowater filter due to the fact it also removes fluoride where many other well known filter brands do not. I'm really impressed. The first use I realised I hadn't screwed it on tightly enough but second attempt was spot on. The water noticeably tasted better immediately- and my dog who usually snubs our tap water (despite being filtered to an extent) is now happily guzzling the filtered water too! To all the reviews that talk about the smell/taste or shelf life of the filter I would say read the information properly. When the water tests at .006 you need to change the filter- it was noticeably different when it hit this marker and I suspect other reviewers have not paid enough attention to this point. Regarding how long a filter will last, that depends on the quality of your tap water to start with. Ours was in the orange zone of first reading and therefore lasts about 15-25 gallons - or for us about 20 days for two adults, a dog and a lot of ice! Maybe that seems pricey but the differences I have noticed in health since filtering water are worth 10x that. I haven't had a migraine in three months, after suffering with them monthly without fail for over a decade. My head also feels clearer generally and my sleep is better. So glad I found zero water- am recommending to everyone I know.

Brilliant product cannot fault the quality in any way. Have also purchased this zero water filter for friends and family who love it as well. The filters last about 3/4 months and we use it for everything. I wouldn't even boil an egg in our tap water here in the UK. We also give this filtered water to our dog, which he drinks happily. If he has tap water he prefers to go outside and drink rain water, which for us says a lot alot the quality of our mains water. Having a test stick is brilliant as you can regularly compare and test the water compared to mains and bottled water which is 100% reassuring. Our tap water test at around 90 to 120 ppm which shows how bad it is. Bottled water is even worse. Ive seen someone has put that the unit cost 70£. This isn't true, it is just under 40£ and I don't believe this is an authentic review and this is why I am leaving this one. I honestly believe this is the best value for money and quality filter you can get on the market today

I have waited a while to do this review so that i had a good idea about the product.. i have spent months trying my best to wade through the minefield of munufactures claims that their water filter is the best.. ABOUT THE ZERO FILTER AFTER 1 MONTH DAILY USE.. POINT 1, It all started promisingly with the zero water filter when i first got it it read zero dissolved solids and the water tasted ok but never that good..When fresh water is of high natural quality it will have a sweet water taste , as is the name for fresh water in many countries.. At no point did the zero water filter have the sweet taste i am familiar with, with high quality water.. Actually worse than this, after about 20 ltrs the water started to taste very bitter whilst still reading 3 parts per 1000 of dissolved solids.. i could not stomach it and niether would my dog drink it.. We are not fussy so this shows how bad it was.. point 2, the replacement filter which costs around £26 to £30 for 2 genuine filter replacements.. in costs around hard water areas they only last around 40LITRES each so each 80 ltres costs around £30 or almost 40p a litre.. this is more than a decent bottled spring water and the taste is gross.. point3, i have gone back to my brita, which as we all know does not remove much apart from most of the chlorine, yet this has a much better taste.. point4, i was going to send the unit back but have decided to keep it for my oil diffusser as it is practically the same as de-ionised water, so this is a secondary use for it.. point5, i have a friend who runs a professional plant nursery and he clearly states that plants do not thrive on de-ionised , reverse osmosis, or zero water, as they do seem to favour even hard water as it is loaded with minerals even if these do interfere with the solubility of the liquid feed.. From this information i can now deduce that living things like minerals and that mineral free water will leech out minerals from the body as many people have stated. POINT6, the filter takes around 10 mins to fill the 1.7ltr resevoir which is 2 or 3 times slower than the brita(AM not recommending the Brita as it takes nearly nothing out and is another great marketing ploy.). The jug design spout is flawed and naturally wants to pour you a "rainbow ark", which goes someway to reveal the real lack of thought that has gone into this item apart from the gimmick that it removes all dissolved solids which i now think is harmful to the living organism.. I SINCERELY HOPE I CAN SAVE SOME PEOPLE FROM AN UNFORTUNATE AND negative experience WITH THIS CLEVERLY MARKETED PRODUCT that BRINGS NO BENEFIT.. MY SEARCH FOR THE HOLY GRAIL OF WATER FILTERS GOES ON.........please feel free to furnish me with your experiences of a good water filter..

This water filter jug has been a game-changer for me; it genuinely makes tap water much more palatable and removes as much dissolved solids from the water as possible, evidenced by their included quality tester, which tests my water at home at around 300-400ppm and 0ppm after a single filtering. The quality of the filtered water is excellent, and for that alone, it offers good value for money, as it makes drinking water actually tenable for me. In terms of size, the overall footprint of the jug is manageable, but my main observation is related to its capacity. The filters, while effective, are quite large and take up a significant amount of space within the jug. This means the actual usable water capacity is noticeably less than the jug's overall dimensions might suggest. For future ideas or if I were to make a second choice, I would definitely opt for a larger container to compensate for the filter's size, reducing the frequency of refills. The ease of use is straightforward – filling is simple, and changing filters is hassle-free. The jug itself feels durable, suggesting decent longevity. Despite the capacity limitation, it still works fine and effectively delivers on its promise of better-tasting water.

Bought two of these. They are great water tastes amazing. When you fill up from two fill up at rear of jug not onto the filter mesh you get a few bits floating around if you do. That are harmless and won’t be able to get into your lovely clean drinking water. The filters are pricey but considering how good a job they do I’m happy paying for that. I’m doing my bit by stopping buying water. The TDS metre works perfect my reading on my tap was 91 which is quite good but it tastes vile and sometimes you can smell a chlorine smell. This water purifier makes the nicest water I’ve ever had. The jig fits in the inside of a fridge door. And I have one next to sink for filling the kettle and also I use it for cooking (boiling veg etc) this filter gets rid of virtually all known baddies lurking in you’re water. Buy on e you won’t regret it.

Supplied by the excellent Techgadget Store via Amazon, this filter, on first use at any rate, appears to do the job. It does in fact reduce impurities in our middling-mucky water down to zero. This compares to a reduction by our Brita of about 43%. The Evian we use (which is both expensive and heavy to lug home) is better than tap by about 26 %, although what is left in that case is arguably a mix of useful minerals. Whether you want zero is a personal choice, but it does taste good – rather like the pure spring water we used to guzzle as kids many moons ago. How long the filters will last, and what the ongoing cost will be, remains to be seen, but the Britas last about a fortnight and are therefore also an expensive proposition. Time and careful records will tell. The jug when full is quite heavy, but it does fit the fridge door well, is easy to pour from and – most importantly – doesn't dribble everywhere after you fill it. Fitting the filter to the jug requires care because it is plastic threaded and quite a hefty twist. Cross threading is therefore an ever-present danger. At this stage, though, pretty pleased. After a few weeks' use, I find we are not so happy. The weight of the jug is a bit of a problem, particularly for less strong wrists, and filling is a bit of a fiddle because you have to remove and park the lid which is then slightly tricky to re-fit whilst holding a completely full and rather heavy jug. Because this model lacks an indicator to tell you when to change the cartridge, you have to keep remembering to test the water with the meter. We found that when it did run out it did so quite suddenly, with the solids count escalating fast and the taste changing rapidly and not pleasantly. In our case, a filter lasted only about three weeks. My feeling is that this is a very good filter designed for larger containers with built-in metering and that they have adapted to squash this big heavy filter into a small fridge door jobbie, which tuns out to be a bit of a compromise. Back to Brita, I think, who have just improved their product.

My thoughts after 1 week of use: - The pitcher is functional and well-built. Just make sure you let all the water pass through the filter before pouring it out into another jug which you can then store into the fridge. - The 1.7l pitcher fits in the door of a regular (i.e. small) British fridge. - The filtered water tastes a bit "flat" and "heavy" (no strong taste, rather a "sensation") - definitely not "better" than tap water. Add a few drops of a concentrate to remineralise it and experience a day-to-night change. Remineralised filtered water tastes as good as your best spring water imho. Overall I'm happy with our purchase. No comments yet on the filter lifetime. Our tap water in North London shows 290-300 ppm using the bundled test unit, definitely on the hard side of the scale.

Although there are no odors or impurities in the water that comes out of this filter, it is so tasteless, it is almost distilled-like. This filter does far better job than Brita or any other gravity filters I've used. The pitcher itself is not very convenient: you can only pour water out slowly, otherwise it may splatter / spill. The filter inside the pitcher is so big, the volume of the filtered water accumulated in the bottom portion of the pitcher is about two cups at most.

La caraffa include un comodo misuratore elettronico per verificare la durezza dell'acqua. Nonostante la caraffa non sia molto maneggevole, il dispenser a molla per l'acqua è pratico. La consiglio per chi ha un'acqua mediamente dura, per renderla più buona e avere un'alternativa sostenibile all'acqua in bottiglia, pur considerando il costo dei filtri.

L'eau n'est plus un problème, plus besoin de bouteille. Les filtres durent très longtemps, plus d'un an si votre eau de robinet est déjà bien traitée.
