Better than the metal alternatives.
Ok so I had a metal bin just like this a few years ago, a few actually...they all broke...yeah. So I stuck to cheapo swing bins, but thought I'd give this a try, as swing bins are awful for kitchen usage, they get disgustingly dirty really fast. So yeah, saying if it'll break or not is hard. My last push top bins didn't break within the first few months, but within the year, which considering how much they cost is still disgusting. But this does have a simpler design, and less parts, less parts that can break...right? The metal ones I got had a plastic ring thing that went under the lid, I think to hide the bin bag, this just has the bin and the lid, though with my metal bins it was actually the push top function that broke. But yeah, it seems well made, but we'll see. But in any case, if you are getting a push top bin deffos get a plastic one. Metal ones can go for double this, easily...and if you have a good read through their descriptions often the "metal" alternatives are actually part metal, part plastic anyways, to get an actual solid metal push top bin you have to shell out a crapload. Even if you can afford it,well just because you have money, doesn't mean you should wase it. So yeah, it seems well built, I wouldn't exactly call it cheap, but it's about as cheap as you're gonna get, so very satisfied for the moment, just hope it lasts.

Great bin
Great bin, feels flimsy when you first get it and the opening mechanism seems like it'll break in halfhour.... but It definitely doesn't. Takes a few goes to wear in the opening catch then it's great. Stylish, easy to clean, large inside. Exactly what you want from a bin.

Cheap, simple and effective
I now have two of these bins. I like it because it is cheap, simple and effective. The lid catch is not mechanical, it relies on the flexibility of the plastic. When the button is pressed it bends the plastic catch to open the lid. Simple but effective. Only problem is that the moulding process sometimes leaves a thin piece of interconnecting plastic across the catch, making it difficult to press the button to release the lid. This is easily fixed by cutting away the thin piece of plastic with a Stanley type knife. Not ideal I know, but this is a very cheap bin, and once its done it works perfectly. The top fits very well on the base, and holds the bin liner effectively. PS If you don't mind collecting it, Argos sell this bin at a lower cost.

Best kitchen bin so far
This is a really tough heavy duty bin that's made to last. The button to release the lid is well made and copes with being used incessantly. It's the perfect size too. Filling a bin bag completely but not able to over fill. Wipes clean easily. Another bonus is It's pretty dog proof if you have a 4 legged bin raider it'll hold together long enough for you catch the offender if they manage to knock it over. The lid doesn't just fall off. Unless it's human vs beagle in which case you will always lose as they will find a way!

Great Bin
What can I say.. It's a cheap bin! But, for the price I paid, I am more than happy. The lid prevents our dog from getting in it which is why we wanted a new one. It does the job and looks good enough!

Good bin!
Doesn't look much when it arrives but it's a really good bin! It's a good large size, lightweight & fits a normal size black binbag, it has a button which lifts the bin lid which requires a hard press, perfect if you have a toddler like myself who's not yet strong enough to push the button or work it out yet! Will purchase again if for some reason I need a new 1. Thanks!

I have really liked this bin and found it to be a good ...
The plastic has broken on mine near where the clasp connects to the bin from the opening button. I have really liked this bin and found it to be a good buy until this happened. However I have had it less than a year and in all truth I would have expected it to last a bit longer when only being used by a single person. I would say it is good value for money, but that value does not include longevity.

Good sturdy bin.
This is a good sturdy bin and an excellent size. I wanted it to stop the dog from dragging the contents out on the kitchen floor and it certainly works as I hoped, or at least she hasn't figured it out yet. The only small thing is that the press button can be a little unresponsive and take a couple of goes - otherwise perfect.
