Just love this melodica and the colour of the natural note keyboard matches my Yamaha piano natural note keyboard with a cool ivory colour. The sound is smooth and good and the polyphonic chord range is good to five with a really nice sound so fine for a chord with added 7th. The cheaper ones struggle pass two to three notes. my preference is to play it right handed only and flat and the mouth piece position and shape makes this easier to see the keyboard. I should also add the quality and keyboard feel is very good.

It is easy to play not needing too much breath. The instrument is well made and produces a good sound. The case is well designed with storage for the mouth piece and tube. The melodica fits nicely in the case and can be played without removing it and the case lid makes a good music stand.

Lovely tone, responsive keys and nice carry case. Only thing that lets it down is the spit valve isn't as effective as it could be, often times you'll drain it and some condensate will remain in the instrument which causes notes to play a little "off" and affects responsiveness of the keys. I've found the solution is to spin the instrument with the handle on the rear; the centrifugal force rejects water well. Kinda annoying but I still absolutely love this instrument; if you've still got a cheap melodica and are considering a better one, this one will definitely satisfy you, the difference is night and day and this model is so pleasant to use, when I pick it up I never want to put it down. If you're looking to get some incredible sound out of it, set up a decent mic and add a little reverb in post, it sounds magnificent.

Sounds and plays great.

This instrument is at the top of the B-class, and a very good professional model. The sound is crisp and bright. The build quality is excellent and four screws opens the whole unit for servicing and cleaning. The sturdy box fits tightly and prevents from bashes. There is room inside to add an internal microphone for pickup. Very happy with it!

I have always wanted to learn to play the keyboard and this was an ideal instrument for a beginner.. It has very large range of Voices and also pre-loaded tunes. I have enjoyed learning a range of tunes - I have no intention of being a professional musician but I have been giving informal "concerts" for my friends. I recommend this keyboard.

This makes a lovely sound I upgraded from a stagg that had lost some tuning over the years and I wanted the bigger range. I use it to accompany music teaching when I’m at my desk via zoom and it’s big enough to pop on the desk and use the tube and play two handed stuff as well as demo single line elements of things we are working on. I really like it. Worth the extra to the budget ones if you’ll use it a lot. I think melodicas are underrated and should be used more!

This is a really excellent instrument. It's easy to play (it doesn't make me feel out of breath like other melodicas I've tried), and the keys are soft and responsive. The sound is beautiful! The only downside for me is that it comes with a heavy, hard case. While the case protects the instrument, it makes it hard to carry (there are no straps attached). The red colour is lovely. I would highly recommend this for any beginner or intermediate players.

A few years ago I started playing my Horner 37 melodica, I had to buy a new one because I accidentally bent a reed while cleaning it (note to self and all: be careful cleaning!!). After doing some pretty significant research on which melodicas are the best for professional use — and having had no idea anyone else even made them — I debated between the Suzuki and Yamaha 37 professional models. Ultimately I landed on this, and WOW, the difference is extraordinary! The Hohner model requires significantly more air to create sound, especially in the lower tones, the sound is tinny, and it’s difficult to tune. The Yamaha, on the other hand, produces warm, vibrant, and deeply resonant sound with just a little air which makes it much easier to control and create dynamic sound. Not only that, the tuning is stellar (and can be modified In told, though I haven’t needed to yet). In short, I cannot speak to the quality of the Suzuki models, though Im sure they’re fantastic as well, given my research. But if you’re looking for a melodica for professional use, skip the ubiquitous Hohner models. You cannot go wrong with the Yamaha, especially at the same price point.
