This product is fantastic quality for the price, takes clear macro shots and the product itself is robust and well designed. Works well with my samsung Galaxy s9, and I use it to take photos and videos of insects. For the 20x lens, you need to be very close to the object to be photographed.

This is a good-quality lens set, with optical components fully able to support the resolution achieved by best mobile phone cameras on the market today. Other plus points: 1: A very useful translucent lens hood, set at the optimum shooting distance; 2: A good quality lens cloth is included; 3: Packaged in a dustproof plastic hard case. Recommended 'also buy': Get a small lens puffer brush. Other points: This is a good product for the job it's intended to do. But it's the wrong lens if you're photographing live insects: than needs Apexel's HD 100mm focal length clip-on macro lens, which has a longer shooting distance that allows you to photograph living insects with less disturbance.

Better than the plastic macro lens I used to have. However, it works at very very close range and I think it's possibly too wide and angle.

This is my first macro lens I bought for my One plus Nord and I am very much impressed with the results. Build quality is nice and easy to use. To learn and experiment on macro world, this lens is a good starter. Except for the pen nibs picture rest all are straight out of the mobile with no edits. The distortions are bit more than expected. In a way it adds to the Bokeh at times which is good. It gives value for the money spent.

The lens was supposed to come in three parts, they came in one, and are impossible to separate.

I had to send back because even though the clip was advertised to fit my phone, the camera was too close to the side causing the clip to pop off. When I did get the zoom lens on, it wasn’t quite was I was looking for as you can’t use this to zoom into items closer than about 6ft. As I was using for work it wasn’t clear enough either. Macro lens (when stayed put) was pretty reasonable. Company quickly refunded when I returned.

The lenses are in a clear and compact plastic box with a lens cloth - very handy for keeping it safe and clean. They are made of metal, making it feel more expensive than its budget price. I found it easier to align with the phone’s camera if I removed the case. Due to the very shallow depth of field, it’s not easy to get pin sharp pictures. You also need to get super close to the subject and have the steady hands of a surgeon - good luck with moving subjects like; insects, holding your arms overhead or in a breeze. I suspect this will be the case with any hand-held close-up lens. The 12x macro was the most useful. I found the light defuser on the 24x lens unhelpful. It is not removable and prevented me from getting close enough to my subject for a clear picture and the length of the clip also got in the way at times. I tried a range of subjects from static items in the home to flowers and live insects. These photos were taken on an overcast afternoon in my garden straight from the phone i.e. no filters or processing. The hover-flies were good if skittish models but the other critters were noisy and made me nervous so I think I’ll stick to the safety of flowers and still life. Overall, for the low cost, portability and convenience of the clip-on phone lens, I was generally satisfied with the results.

Having borrowed a cheaper clip on lens a few years ago I’m amazed how much the quality has improved. This item is really well made and packaged and the photos I’ve taken so far are beautiful. I mainly use for photos of plants and flowers, you need to get close but i particularly like being able to switch between 12x and 24x with the same kit for different views. Previously I’ve used DSLR’s with extension tubes or specialist macro lens but this is so quick and convenient and great having it in my pocket just in case. The depth of field effect is really stunning and the levels of detail you pick up are astonishing, even just a bit of biro written on paper looks completely different now.

Grossit vraiment beaucoup, d'autant plus si le smartphone peut zoomer dans l'image: c'est vrai qu'il y a de la distorsion géométrique mais le centre est exploitable, un vrai microscope. Je m'en sers pour voir des détails de micro-composants électroniques de 1 mm (voir photo). Au fait, j'ai ajouté un anneau éclairant rechargeable à LEDs qui s'adapte très bien sur ce modèle, c'est très utile pour éviter l'ombre portée du smartphone et de l'accessoire sur l'objet. Ich bin sehr froh, dass ich mich für das APEXEL 2 in 1 12X Makro Objektiv/24X Super Makro Objektiv entschieden habe, weil ich dadurch mit meinem Xperia von Sony sehr hochwertige, großartige Aufnahmen in bester Qualität fotografieren kann. Mittlerweile nutze ich das Objektiv seit über 3 Jahren und konnte in diesem Zeitraum schon etliche Fotos von Insekten und Pflanzen machen. Es ist unglaublich, was damit alles möglich ist und ich empfehle APEXEL allen Fotografen mit von ganzem Herzen und mit bestem Gewissen weiter!

I have a s20+ and I experience a lot of distorsion. Especially on the x12 lens. It does look like the description photo or others users photo. It is normal ? Is there some corrections to do ?

Queste lenti fanno il loro lavoro, sono compatibili con diversi cellulari, nel mio caso un iPhone, e permettono zoom davvero incredibili. Come molti hanno fatto notare, per soggetti viventi è meglio utilizzare la 12x, ma se volete scattare foto di soggetti statici, oppure i vostri soggetti sono molto pazienti, potete riuscire in scatti come quelli allegati con la 24x. Comparado con otros productos similares destacaría el que sean 2 lentes macro, que permite fotografiar objetos de tamaños más variables (fotos hechas con xiaomi redmi note 8 pro). Las lentes tienen buena calidad y se acoplan fácilmente; la colocación en el teléfono también es rápida. Trae una gamuza para limpiarlas. Other similar products only have 1 macro lens but here you have 2, so you can photograph objects of a wider size range (pictures taken with xiaomi redmi note 8 pro). The lenses are of good quality and are easily screwed together; the clip is fast to situate on the phone. The kit includes a cloth to clean the lenses.
