However, they offered to send me a different pair (one with pockets on the side, and double-front construction) and I really like them. Both were made of the ripstop material which (at least initially, and after a month or so of work) seems very durable while being lightweight. They are not as light as the canvas cotton pants, but I would wager they will last a bit longer.One note on fit--they fit true to size, and my size is the same as the other carhartts I own, but they have a much slimmer cut through the legs. I have big legs, and they are still a great choice for my active job, but you will not have the same kind of room you do in the washed duck classic carhartts. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Select size on the generous side I'd say. *by T***X on Reviewed in the United States on March 22, 2016* Good material and design. The cell phone pocket is the draw for me, it's well placed and should fit most cell phones. I'm a true 31" waist and 75% of 30" waist pants will fit me (I just don't buy the ones that don't fit, never go up to 32"). I got a 31" waist on this and it's right on so a 30" will definitely not fit. Hope it helps. I sent them back and got something that should have been way too big, but the waist was perfect.
