Review: Fantastic pan, perfect for two eggs if used with a lid - I ordered a lid for this separately, as I don't like snotty eggs so I use a lid to cook them on top without needing to flip them. It turned up and was TINY.... I thought i'd messed up with this order, it looked like one of my daughter's toys. But once the pan arrived and I tried it out it was an absolute triumph. Perfect size for two eggs with a nice thick, light egg white. Having carefully followed the instructions to season the pan and then, when heating it back up for first use, ensured the pan temperature was correct for the Leidenfrost effect using a drop of water before putting oil in after it had evaporated, the eggs bubbled beautifully when dropped in and did not stick even to the sides of the pan (they did slightly, but nothing gentle peeling from the edge didn't fix). What I would say is that you need to order a small spatula/fish slice for this pan as normal ones are too big. Some reviews complained about the handle getting hot; it does about half to two-thirds of the way up, but the end remained plenty cool enough to hold throughout. I just used the end of the handle instead of grabbing the whole thing, which is anyway an uncomfortable shape. This pan is genuinely fantastic, especially for the price.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Are these made of Stainless Steel? Are they safe for cooking?**
A: Not stainless steel. They are made of iron and once seasoned they are really non stick. You are better to read up on seasoning cookware but it is really worth the bother doing it. Never ever put them in the dishwasher they just need rinsed with warm water. Occasionally may need a scour. That generally only happens if the pan wasn't hot enough before starting to cook

**Q: The debuyer description at the top of the page states "99% iron a natural mineral material", does anyone know what the other 1% is please?thannks.**
A: I no longer have the labels etc. but I assume the 1% relates to the fixings.  The pan itself is definitely all iron as borne out by the fact that if you do not clean it almost straight always after use any moisture starts to rust!

**Q: are these good on induction?**
A: Very good. I've had no problems. do not immerse pan in water, it will rust. You need to season pan regularly and just wipe out with a paper towel. Eventually it will build up a patina which becomes non stick. If you get anything stuck on just gently heat with a little oil then wipe off with towel. Only use the pan on a medium heat. Hope this helps.

**Q: Does the handle get hot?**
A: Used on an induction hob- warm but, not hot!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Most amazing little pans ever!

I bought 2 of these pans because I wanted to make small tortilla de patatas and these pans can not be more perfect for it. I need to work on my potato sizes in the tortillas, but that is not reflective on the pan. I've done fried eggs in them as well, comes out absolutly perfect round, does not stick, it is amazing. I've had such a positive experiance with these, that I am now looking for bigger size De Buyer pans to replace all my other pans.
