Catholic Bible: Revised Standard Version

If I am ever chased by a Sasquatch I can belt it with this Bible and get away no problem !! Finally a large print RSV-CE Bible!! ....It's BIG. It's HEAVY. It's AWESOME!! -Good size black print on cream paper. I really do appreciate the cream paper because the print doesn't GLARE so much as with bright white paper. -I can't see too much of the print from the other pages through the page that I am reading. EXTRA STAR for that! -It takes light color highlighters without too much (if any) distracting bleed-through. -There's even a bit more room in the margins for notes! Not a huge amount but a bit more than usual. Nice! -A very basic cover - I'm going to have to reinforce the cover but that's ok. All in all, a very good sturdy large print Bible and I am happy with this purchase.

Wasn’t aware that the size is massive and it’s very heavy too (my fault that I didn’t check the description carefully). I was actually looking for a handy, pocket-sized one. But anyway, it’s actually good for those needing Catholic Bible in large fonts. Nice paper material and was shipped securely. Overall, pleased with this purchase.

This is my first Bible in English and I am very pleased for two reasons: the size of the text is big and clear and second the quality of the pages, they are not too thin. It is perfect for me to mark and highlight. But it is not a study Bible, so don't expect much more, no special commentaries. One downside is that it doesn't have any ribbon but easily sorted out by doing my own one.

Hello I am Ryan Trundle, I'm a Catholic and a father of three; living in Liverpool England Uk. I have got a lot of Bibles and I have read a lot more from The Jewish translation to the King James version and many more but I know the majority of the New Testament and therefore it didn't make a difference to me if the word's was 'And he Spake unto them' or if it just said 'And He said to them'. Well this I will say the New Bible the RSV2 is very good. Now I do admit to being a complainer when the parables aren't in the bible in entirety. I believe yes the parables should be a section in the bible rather than only being in the teachings of the old and new testaments (we can't have everything I suppose.) But never the less. The font is crystal clear and the pages are of a good GSM (meaning you can't read ten pages through one.) This edition has been well condensed but it hasn't lost the love. I have spotted the occasional misplaced word but it does not affect the bible in any way. I would recommend this version of the bible. All Catholics and Christians should have a copy of this version. I do miss the Manasseh Prayer it is nice to read. Judith is in full. (Judith I am not your enemy!) I do love the fact that the Apocrypha is included in near fullness Amazing. Now the best part of this bible is that it is direct and I have read direct translations from the scriptures and it is near the same from 2000 plus years ago to modern day now without the oldie worldie snare that truly isn't needed. If you want the Truth as the truth then this bible is for you. Love it like it loves you. Thank you for reading.

Excellent product Contains maps Does not contain dedication page I personally think the leather version is aesthetically better, although the hardback is more durable as I found out when I creased the cover of my leather version

Nice bible, text is clear with cream coloured pages. Good quality paper. I didn't know what bible I would get as some reviews talk about a soft bible with ribbons in situ, and others suggested it was a hard back with no page ribbons. As it happens I received the latter which I was a bit disappointed with as I would have preferred the softer version with gold edges and ribbons. Are there two different types and if so it needs to be clearer as to which one will be sent. I just found the reviews confusing but as I have said the bible is satisfactory.
