It's actually Fine Silver 999 (Assay will hallmark it as Fine Silver), so slightly softer after firing than Sterling 925.

Hi could you please tell me if you need a kiln for this clay, or if any other special equipment is needed to be able to use this?

Hi, no kiln needed you can use gas cooker or gas silversmithing torch if you intend to use gascooker please remember to use a wire mesh or a fire brick if using a torch , also once you have designed your piece ready for firing you must let it dry first then fire or your work will crack when firing. hi, can you confirm this is silver art clay please,? The title and picture is art clay silver,but the product description says it is silver paste?

What is the shelf life of this product?

Unopened it has a very long shelf life. Once opened I try and use the whole packet within days. You can get specialised pots which cost about £6 to store it in to keep it moist and you can rehydrate the product if it dries out.
