Aqua Optima Original 2 year pack, 12 x 60 day water filters - SWP337

I've recently bought the Aqua Optima water filter jug and decided to locate a good source of replacement filters. This 12 pack arrived very quickly, well packaged and are a good price. They won't deteriorate on the shelf and they work well in our very hard water system. I filter loads of water as we are dreadful tea drinkers!!!! We also have a tropical fish tank which I draw off a few gallons every week and replace (it all needs to be filtered). I only expect 30 days from our 60 day filters because we are very heavy filterers!!! If we were only filtering a few mugs worth a day, I believe it would do the 60 days.

We've had various filter jugs and systems over the years and this is the best yet. The cartridges are reasonably priced and do seem to last the full 60 days, although I would imagine this must depend on the amount of water you drink - we seem to refill the jug at least once every day, often more. The beauty of it is of course that you only have to wash the jug out and change the filters every other month. Moreover, I have found that we get far less of a build up of limescale around the top edges of the jug than we used to get with a Brita jug even though we changed their filters every month. If you're looking for a water filter jug/cartridges then I would recommend the Aqua Optima system.

Cheaper alternative to brita, makes water taste alot better too, i live in quite a hard water area that since i moved to this area after drinking the water for a few months i haven't quite felt right although there's no medical proof that hard water areas have any side effects from drinking from however i kept getting heartburn from water .... brita filters were just too expensive for my reqirements, my partner and her son occasionally drank the water here however since i bought the Aqua optima filter kit with the jug previously they drink water nearly everyday and i no longer have the side effects that i had previously from drinking the water here.

Well, firstly, I have been buying and using these filters since 2017 and I can attest to their results. They do what they are supposed to: filter your water and you can taste the difference immediately. The water where I live is very hard and I didn't want to continue spending a fortune on huge water bottles, so I bought a filter jug along with these filters. As I said they work fine and they do not make the water taste chemically or anything like that (as I have experienced in the past with other types of filters) but instead, they kind of make the water taste much better than it would if you were drinking it straight from the tap! However, I did notice something weird: after a week or two of replacing the used filter, the new one would filter the water VERY slowly. I wasn't sure why it did that (as I never had such issues in the past) and I thought that it might have been a faulty filter, so I threw it away. The same thing happened with the next filter: it reached a point where it was literally only dripping!! As I was unsure of what to do and since I didn't consider it to be a coincidence, I decided to try a couple of things but what worked, was repeating from the top the whole process and act as if it were a new filter! I discovered that these filters didn't really enjoy or appreciate "floating" in the filtered water (aka be where they are supposed to be inside the jug!!), so what I did, was remove the inside "sleeve" where the filter rests and place it horizontally on top of the jug, so that it sits there. That did work for me and since then (three or four filter changes back), it has worked wonders and only once or twice I had to repeat the process to increase the water filtration rate. Other than that, I never had any other issues. In conclusion, the filters work fine and if you notice the water flow lowered to the bare minimum, simply repeat the process as you would with a new filter and boom! You're golden! I hope this review is helpful to others :)

Great filters

I have used water filters for many years now as I don't like just tap water in my area Great yarmouth Norfolk. When filtered it tastes better especially when making tea, it's clear & not cloudy without filtering. These filters are great as they last longer than others, you can start to tell difference when filter gets old. These fit well and cost wise is cheaper than another leading brand. So give them a try you won't be disappointed. I am very happy with them.

Purchased these filters for an Aqua Optima filter jug that has been in use for about 18 months. They are excellent...removing the foul taste and oily black particles within tap water that make such a mess of the inside of the kettle. They do the job quickly and efficiently. You only need to put a glass of filtered and unfiltered side by side, try each one (blindfolded if you like) and the taste difference is remarkable. The filtered water loses the chlorinated taint and tastes fresh / clean PLUS you'll save a fortune over buying bottled water and stop filling your bin with empty water bottles!! Highly Recommended.

I've been using this product for some time now. I introduced my daughter to it by buying her a Water Filter for Christmas. Extremely good value and a lot cheaper than the more well know products on the market. The filters last me around six weeks rather than two months - I do use a lot of water as I am at home all day, but my daughter finds they last about two months with her. So, a good product and very good value for money.

Aggiorno per correttezza la mia recensione: il filtro adesso funziona, escono le bollicine d'aria e il sapore dell'acqua migliora. Io problema era dovuto al fatto che non lo avevo "lavato" bene prima di inserirlo nella caraffa. In sostanza i filtri vanno agitati nell'acqua prima dell'uso, altrimenti non funzionano. ------------- Mi dispiace dissentire dalla maggioranza, ma a me non sta funzionando proprio. Ho acquistato una caraffa Hydrogenia basic 140 e il primo filtro in dotazione ero felicissimo, acqua magicamente buonissima, tanto che ho iniziato a berne di più. Da qualche giorno sto usando io filtro Optima, ma è un disastro: il sapore non migliora e stamani addirittura ho notato che l'acqua in fondo della caraffa era scura, immagino a causa del carbone fuoriuscito dal filtro! Meno male che me ne sono accorto altrimenti avrei ingerito carbone attivo... Altra differenza: il filtro Hydrogenia emanava delle bollicine d'aria quando riempivo la caraffa, segno che io carbone attivo stava "lavorando". Il filtro Optima invece fa scorrere l'acqua ma senza effetto bollicine. Non so, forse sarò stato sfortunato, forse ho beccato un filtro difettoso. A questo punto spero di smentirmi, anche perchè ho ancora 11 filtri nella scatola!

Same type of filters I bought 3 years ago. Except for the packaging (instead of 12 individual boxes, now 2 packs of 6 in each) As our is a combined water heater too it is clearly visible that there is no limescale at the bottom now compared to the few months we used it without the filter. Also I like Amazon's shipping speed.

La carafe et ses cartouches sont parfaites pour moi. Plus faciles à installer que d'autres modèles. Elles me semblent très bien filtrer l'eau du robinet : comme référence avant avec une autre marque je devais détartrer ma bouilloire 1 fois par mois, désormais c'est 1 fois tous les deux moins ou moins souvent.

Excellent produit. Nous utilisons les filtres Aqua optima avec la carafe depuis un an après avoir testé un concurrent plus renommé. Nous préférons nettement le goût de l’eau avec la cartouche Aqua optima et le prix n’est pas du tout le même. L’essayer c’est l’adopter.
