My experience so far (with the adult one) - it is definitely microfiber (although it looks more like a normal towel), in that it has that 'sticky' feeling but does indeed get you dry. Also, it dries very quickly - I used it on a dive trip where we were diving 3 times a day, and after each dive it was already completely dry/warm. Love this poncho! The material was fine for two us-soft and absorbent-but my wife declined one due to material sensory issues. I did notice that the material caught on my dry fingertips a bit, but my kiddo and I were really comfy and dry all weekend long. Highly recommend for cooler swimming contexts.
