The mop pad do not have all round elasticated edges, the mop pad are designed in a triangular shape and 3 parts of the mop pad have elasticated edges and the 1 side is not elasticated. For further assistance please contact the BISSELL Consumer Care line on 0344 888 6644. **Q: Does this fit the 1977E model?** A: Rather a late answer, but it may help someone else. I previously had the 1132E model so had a number of these when we replaced the 1132E with the 1977E. They fit just fine. **Q: Do these fit the model 2234e?** A: YES **Q: Does this steam clean carpet too?** A: I live in Spain and only have tiled floors so not tried on carpets but do not think it is designed for use on them as would be difficult to move over carpet due to the mop sticking.
