Garmin Edge 820 GPS Bike Computer Bundle with Heart Rate Monitor and Speed/Cadence Sensor for Performance and Racing

Predominantly used for mtb. I wanted a device that could navigate me around a route that I had created myself. This works brilliantly for this, at no point did I struggle to find which way to go! Price maybe a little high but fully satisfied with the purchase. Battery lasts well, over 50%left after a 3hr ride with full navigation on. The touch screen could be a little more responsive, but what do you expect, it’s not a £800 iPhone/Samsung etc. Plugging into garmin connect gives good data post ride. Personally I have no problem creating a route and uploading via garmin connect/explore. If you take a bit of time to create a route I found it to work very well. I haven’t experimented asking the device to plan a route for me, but I’d say that might be lazy and you’re better of planning a route anyway. Also no problems with signal dropout even in dense woodland, hills etc. The supplied mounting bracket (long) works very well and keeps the garmin completely fixed over the headset top cap even on 1m plus drop offs etc. Very happy so far.

This is great. Has changed my cycling life. Can download gpx files from Strava and do my own solo exploratory routes. I think the directions given are great -had no problems with trips out to wales or Wigan. Love it. Came with all the sensors which work fab. Some haters don't like the touch screen.. but really it's fine. It's nowhere near as good as your standard phone screen but.. it takes a lot of beating in the wind and rain! I got mine on prime day do had a decent saving

Great bit of additional cycling kit that’s added an extra dimension to my biking. Mapping isn’t the best especially when using it on the stats screen but all works well and everything links up as it should.

Really compact- easy to fit onto bike- and does what it says on the box !

I had to buy this because my earlier model of the gramin820 edge screen froze and did not recover. The blue toth feature is great to save cables dowloading my routes onto garmin connect and strava etc utother than that I would prefer to have been able to purchase the older option. Navigation through the screens when logging a ride and having to zoom into the map is very clunky.

I like it for my training, but do set it up online. Then you will get full advantage of the kit . Oops I learnt the hard way ..

I bought this product two years ago and it's given me nothing but grief. When it decides to connect to the Garmin Connect App and my phone, then also decides to upload the routes I want, and then run through those routes, it's great. But this is rare. For context, I'm very used to technology, grew up using it, am pretty good with it and also own a Garmin Forerunner 735xt. But THIS Garmin... this Garmin will only work properly and consistently if you regularly make sacrifices to the cycling Gods, on the dawn of the fifth day, when the planets have aligned and there is a north easterly wind. If I could return it, I would, but 2 years have passed by and I've lost that privilege (and gained some wrinkles) . It may actually be easier to either buy a competitor's product, or run through vigorous brain training exercises to be able to memorise 150km's of cycling route. But it is not easier to buy this Garmin. If you value your mental health, then avoid at all costs (or invest in Headspace at the same time and regularly practice meditation). For me, there has been very little 'touring and adventure'. Good luck.

Semplicemente il top di gamma. Uno strumento eccezionale, con gran numero di funzioni, touch pratico (lo schermo non è enorme, ed i modelli successivi sono più grandi - un pò troppo padelloni per i miei gusti), l'ideale è comprarlo adesso in quanto il prezzo è sceso vista l'uscita dei modelli successivi , che di fatto non hanno nulla in più se non lo schermo più grande, finendo però per avere una resa da "padellone". Adatto per qualunque tipo di attività in bici, inutile per chi la bici la usa poco, sarebbe solo un inutile e costoso orpello estetico.

Dudaba entre el 820 y el 520. La compra ha sido más que acertada. La navegación es espectacular, los datos que proporciona también, el GPS es rapidísimo en captar señal e indica el camino de forma increíble con margen mínimo de error (1 o 2 metros si te sales te avisa y cuando vuelves al track te dice camino encontrado al instante). La batería en rutas de 6 horas se queda al 50% o así con el uso del Bluetooth conectado al móvil (a destacar el mensaje que manda a los contactos si tienes alguna caída avisando con las coordenadas, opción que puedes quitar o poner). Su uso con la bicicleta en marcha es muy fácil y fluido, te haces pronto con su funcionalidad. Espero que dure pero cuando se rompa sé cual será mi próximo GPS. Es mi primer Garmin y venía de un Teasi one pro (lo dejé tras 4 años por rotura en caída con toda la pena del mundo porque me encantaba) y no hay color... Desde luego que Garmin es "pata negra"

produit très complet qui fonctionne parfaitement. Rapport qualité prix excellent. Ce produit est bien le 820 edge et possède donc le wifi en plus du bluetooth ainsi que la cartographie alors que la fiche détaillée indique le contraire.

Je ne l'utilise que pour la version route, sur un vélo à assistance électrique. Le produit est conforme a mon attente, bon compteur GPS, il y a une légère différence avec celui du vélo au niveau de la vitesse lue. Fonctionne comme un GPS voiture, vous prévient par un bip sonore au lieu de la voix (vous n'avez pas "tournez à gauche", etc). Ce bip est parfois casse-pied, c'est en gros toutes les 20 seconces. Plusieurs bips successifs pour indiquer le changement de direction. J'ai essayé la création d'un parcours par le GPS, pour tester cette fonction, 10kms, essai concluant, il choisi une boucle aller-retour sans problème. Une fois que vous avez mis en mémoire un lieu, il vous y ramène automatiquement si vous le désirez. Et comme un GPS voiture, il recalcule l'itinéraire si nécessaire. Pistes cyclables (Ravel, en Belgique) ok. Après 1h d'utilisation, batterie toujours chargée à 100%, mode éclairage écran réglé en permanence à 80%. Concernant les accessoires fournis, la dragonne est la bien venue, ça vous évitera de le laisser tomber par terre quand vous l'enlevez de son support. Concernant le support cintre fourni, là il faut être un peu bricoleur, j'ai du utiliser et recouper les 2 adaptateurs caoutchouc du guidon, ce dernier étant trop fin su mon vélo. Pas de chargeur USB fourni.
