Mine doesn't close the door shut. It closes it nicely until it touches the latch and then doesn't have enough strength to close it. Any suggestions?

You can adjust the latching speed when the gate is in the closed position. The screw adjusts the latching speed when the gate is closed and the main closing speed when you hold the gate at 45º. So if you keep the gate closed and turn the adjuster screw a quarter turn and test it - you can get it give a really hard shove just at the latching position but still move slowly until that point.

Could this be incorporated into a control system? Or does it need its own separate controller?

It is a purely mechanical device, there is no electronics or other control system

Our gate gets blown in the wind , will this slow the motion of the gate closing in strong winds ?

Yes it will.  It has adjustment to allow you to vary the closing speed.  However in our setting, in order for the gate to latch successfully the gate still has to close fairly quickly over the last part of the closing operation.  (This speed can be adjusted).  So there is a slamming effect, and accompanying noise. The closer can also be adjusted to hold the gate open at 90'.  The closer also has enough strength to close the gate in a strong wind. 
My only disappointment was that I purchase three of these just over a year ago, one has failed already.

my gate is 105cm wide, but less than 50kg. Is there something that can be done so that this works with it? Or another model that can handle it?

I have a heavy gate which is 95cm wide and the closer works really well, I would have thought the extra 10cm would make no difference to the operation.
