Does this work for appying an oil-based sealant to a wood surface such as pine?

These foam applicators are made for application of many different automotive cleaning products on many different surfaces. They will undoubtedly work for many things outside of the car care industry as well but we do not test on everything imaginable.

Can I use to apply a scratch remover product?

Yes you can. It makes it a lot easyer to do. However...if you have scratches that do not come out with this and your scratch remover, you will need to move to a wool pad or like a terry cloth towel to get more aggressive. Hope it helps!

Can I use the side with logo for polishing? This side is not as flat as the other side, I am afraid it maybe marring the paint

I always use the side to wax and polished on the no logo side . You can use both sides but I like to use one side only

How long will these last?

That depends on how aggressively they are used and what surfaces they are used on; however they are definitely washable and reusable many times.

The best cutting disk for DA polisher on the market

These pads cut extremely well and quickly when paired with Meguiars DA Correction Compound. I highly recommend. They cut fast due to the low profile interface. This causes more vibration feel when using a machine but that’s perfectly normal so don’t worry if you have that experience.

Extra? Not sure it's extra.

It is thinner than the standard cutting so there fore stiffer maybe, that has something to do with the cutting action. I didn't see any dramatic difference in the cut between this and the standard cutting disc. So I cut he value/dollar rating. "Easy to use"? Cutting and buffing is hard IMO and I don't think this reduces the work of it so I gave that a 3. But, it's kind of a silly question.
