I have to say this is amazing!! I was dubious when I looked at the reviews. Ive been struggling to get out of the bath following knee replacement and this is a game changer. I feel so much more confident now, this is easy to fit just two clicks and the security of knowing it’s fitted properly by the reassuring green indicator. I have not had any problems at all and put a lot of weight through this and it doesn’t budge . Highly recommended

I bought this handle for my dad who just had surgery and needed a handle to steady himself in the shower. We needed it urgently and it arrived next day. The tiles he has are smooth and glossy. When you attach the handle to the wall with the sucker pads, there is no guesswork, as the little indicators give a go / no-go advice visually via a red/green flag in each little window on the handle. The flag clicks over between red or green at a precise point which tells you that the suckers are properly attached. You can look at these every time you use it too, just to be sure it's on the wall properly. The handle has a texture which helps gripping and it's a good length so that you can have options where you grab on with your hand. I am impressed as an engineer I am fussy about how well products are made and how they function. I think it's well worth paying a little more and having something well made and reliable. You can tell the designer addressed all the key points in this product. As a tip I dampened the suckers before attaching. Recommended product so far so good.

Great mobility aid! Excellent suction power and easy to install. I wanted something that wouldn't permanently mark the tiles in my bathroom and this is the perfect solution. The only negative I would say is that the product is off white, almost a yellow creamy colour which was off putting and not white. It would be perfect otherwise.

I was sceptical that a suction handle would be able to hold my weight but this is truly remarkable!!! As a Director in Social Services you realise that small items can help to transform lives when they can't do normal everyday things without help. After breaking a leg in multiple places it is items like this that make moving around in showers and baths that make it possible to transfer by yourself. Having paid for many rails to be installed the old fashioned way of drilling and screwing I didn't think that this would have the same weight bearing capabilities. However, I am totally amazed and how strong this is. As I didn't want to drill into tiles as my injury is short term I thought it was worth trying. I now see that quality items like this can be used in so many ways without the costs of installing them and also removed without any damage. Great product !

Be careful with use as easily become loose

Unsafe and Unreliable – Would Not Recommend I purchased the Newthinking Long Suction Grab Rail hoping for extra support in the bathroom, but it turned out to be a serious disappointment. The suction cups did not stick securely to the wall, even on smooth tiles. It kept falling off unexpectedly, and at one point nearly damaged my bath. This product feels more like a temporary prop than a safety aid. It’s not suitable for anyone needing reliable support, and I wouldn’t trust it for elderly users or anyone with mobility concerns. Definitely not fit for purpose.

This is big and solid. They stick firmly to our tiles in our shower. There is an indicator Red/Green to warn you when the suction might be leaking, but I have never got them to go away from red even when newly installed. My wife now wants another pair for her bathroom :-0

I needed support when in the shower, my balance is not good. When I first offered it to the tile wall, it would not stick. I decided to send it back, but as I was re-packing it I saw the two spring loaded springs that protrude past the rubber holding it from close contact with the tiles. I went back to try again. It took more force pressing to the wall to force the pins in. Now it worked and held very tight. I think it is possible to pull the tiles off the wall before this would give. Happy now

Consegna super-veloce, ho acquistato la versione da 40cm. All'installazione ho subito notato che uno dei due indicatori non era funzionante, indicava rosso nonostante la maniglia fosse ben salda alle piastrelle. In ogni caso, mi era parsa molto molto solida. Ma dopo circa 10 minuti si è staccata. Ho quindi pulito ancora la superficie e provato di nuovo, ma si è sganciata ancora dopo qualche minuto. Ho poi visto che un piolino di contatto risultava meno sporgente, ecco perchè l'indicatore segnava rosso, ma non credo che sia questo il problema del distacco. Ho fatto il reso, andrò ad acquistare un diverso prodotto, magari meno economico.
