Installed seamlessly into a 2019 CX-3, highly recommend.
Installed in an 2019 Mazda CX-3. Provides native CarPlay intergration, took around 20 minutes to install (if tech savvy). Need to ensure car is up to date before installing. It works flawlessly. I've installed Android head units in over 7 vehicles to get CarPlay, and this is the first one that work seamlessly with the car. Press the nav button it opens the chosen nav app (Maps, Waze etc), press music and you get your music (Spotify etc), press home and it takes you to the CarPlay home, not back into the Mazda system (which you can access if you 'open' the Mazda app on the screen). Fits perfectly, did take a bit of fiddling to get the old unit out, but once in, it looks like the stock item. Reminder that the touchscreen works when you're parked up, but once the vehicle is moving you are limited to the rotaty dial (which, personally is a lot better to use as its tactile). Great value for money, and is a complete game changer! Would recommend to any Mazda owner as it doesn't affect the old system, you still have the USBs (but now with decent charging!) and the map SD card still works. Cannot fault it.

Not easy but works!
Okay so I have never done anything like this before but wanted to try and save the £300 extra cost for someone else to fit. Downloading the software took me about an hour and then there was lots of reading to do as I was most worried about messing up the firmware. But if you follow the instructions exactly this part was fine, just make sure to do exactly as it says. The seller provides all of the instructions for this you need on the download. You also need a usb available to format. It took me about 3 hours to download the files to a usb and run both firmware updates. The video link provided for doing the hardware was helpful. Removing all of the panels was straightforward but we did struggle to get things back together. However someone more car savvy may struggle less! This whole process took about an hour and the apple car play worked first time without any issues. So good product, lots of helpful instructions but it isn’t something you should expect to complete in under an hour!

Wiring/Cabling Not Difficult, The challenge is on removing or restoring interior trims
Easy to follow instructions about replacing the old cable with the new ones. Android Auto/Car Play starts successfully at the first time after the new hub is plugged in. However, do make time to study a few different YT videos on removing the interior trim, in order to reach to the sockets behind the infotainment display and the old hub, if this is the first time to do it

No longer works after 1 month
Had it for just over 1 month, installed and was working okay. now does'nt connect. Really disappointed Tried new leads and resets still no go. As over 1 moth on warranty either. Just wasted £60

works great
**Android Auto Car Adapter Review** This adapter works as expected, allowing Android Auto to connect seamlessly to my car’s screen. Installation was fairly easy, but it would have been more convenient if it came with the necessary tools to make the process smoother. Overall, a decent product that does the job, but a more complete kit would be a nice improvement.

Brilliant Update That Works
I installed this is a 2015 Mazda CX5. The device came in very nice packaging and came with everything you need in the box, USB unit, wires, cable ties, foam covers and instructions. The USB hub you replace is an exact copy of the one in my car so once installed you wouldn't know you had replaced it except for a small phone icon on the unit. It was relatively easy to install. The hardest part is getting the USB unit out of the car as it has four clips holding it in. I pulled the front cover off the old unit with a hook tool and then used a flat head screwdriver to push the clips down. It was still hard to get it out but once out the rest is easy. There are YouTube videos with different techniques on how to get it out. Watch them and try the one you think you can do. Follow the the instructions that you get and you can't go wrong. It works perfectly and connects immediately. All the original Mazda controls work to control the CarPlay screen. This is a great update to a ten year old car which I would highly recommend.

So far working great. Paired this with AAwireless for wireless.
The included hardware+ cable harness feels like OEM. Even the packaging and instructions feels legit. Installation is not for the faint of heart. Firmware needs to be upgraded first before hardware install. Lots of YouTube tutorials out there. I followed the one by @Bk_Bt and @infotainment. The hardware install took about 3 hours. I took my time to not break anything and be meticulous when routing the cables. You'll need plastic pry tools for the moulding, a 10mm deep socket and phillips head screwdriver to remove the screen. The device so far performs great with little to no lag. I've used both AA and Carplay and both are functional and integrates well with my CX5. Charging could be stronger as AA/CP really puts a strain on the phones battery. Any bugs encountered is not the hubs fault but from the phone app software or a bad quality cable. I purchased separately a AAwireless dongle so now I have wireless connectivity. Tip: to speed up the loading, disable contact sync on your Mazda infotainment + remove the maps SD card.
