The last one was particularly bad, and I never thought I'd find anyone as amazing and perfect as my ex. I fell into a very bad depression. At that point in my life, I was desperate for anything that could actually bring some relief. No drugs or alcohol or anything else was even remotely helpful. I think this book would have given me some relief and hope, though not right away, but it would have at least let me know that I wasn't alone in my misery. I somehow managed to not only survive, but I became through that ordeal a better, more confident person. I was very interested in the section about the "No Contact" idea. I did that on my own. No matter what, I was not going to contact my ex, though it nearly killed me, and I was glad I did that in the long run. This is an easy to follow, sensible guide to surviving a break-up by someone who has been there. It would have been impossible for me to grasp at the time, but that break-up turned out to be the best thing that happened in my life--not because she was the wrong person or anything like that, but because I was absolutely determined to make it the best thing that had happened to me, and I actually did. That can really happen! This book can definitely help you survive the worst and find a better life for yourself.
