Having had enough of using awful ISP provided routers, I decided to use an old Dell Optiplex to build a router based of OPNSense so needed an additional network port in the system. The card was a simple solution, cheap and easy to install and works perfectly with OPNSense. All setup and running and so much better.

Works with proxmox pass-through to a vm router / opnsense. Can't comment on the performance as i only have 70Mbit internet but processor usage is almost 0 while running a speed test so something is working well behind the scene and i assume it supports IOSRV for virtual environments. Not noticed an increase in power usage on my hypervisor either so that's a bonus.

I use this with Windows 11 machines. Very easy to find a driver and get it installed. Useful to have the option to use this as high or low profile when installing. Great Gigabit speeds and pretty good price.

Working under Ubuntu LTS 20.04 using the IGB Driver. The MAC refers to Beijing Sinead Technology Co., Ltd. in China not Intel Corp so maybe it's a clone of the 82576 chip and not genuine Intel hardware. LAG and VLAN working fine. As people have mentioned, trying to use full 4Gbps bandwidth causes a drop in speed, even though it's connected to a 4x@PCIe2 Slot as confirmed by the LSPCI report which gives 16GBps in each direction, it should have more than enough bandwidth to saturate. A bit pricey but works very well so far - recommended. Speed is as expected and it's easy to install.

This card is detected right a way in debian 11 and openwrt without any issues and it works great. It comes with two brackets and I was able to change the long one to mini one and fit this into my dell optiplex 7010 small factor pc which is now my router + nas in one box. I recommend this card.

Had troubles with connection dropping on my pfsense virtual machine. Turned out to be the Realtek Nic I was using. Swapped over and runs perfectly Easy to install

Went for the Intel 82576 dual gigabit cards to install into three pfsense boxes. For anyone else thinking of using for PFSense, it was a doddle, intel drivers automatically recognised. They perform at 1Gbps up/down on a 1Gb WAN connection on PFSense, and exactly 1gbps on the LAN side, so no complaints there! No issues with any of the three in around 6 months of deployment at three different sites. I can also confirm compatibility with VLAN tagging in PFSense. *Edit Feb 2020, in total I have 5 of these cards cards running 24/7 for over two years now without issues.

Compré dos tarjetas para mis HP Microservers Gen8 que llevan VMware ESXi 6.5 update1. No las detecta de primeras, pero hay drivers oficiales y las tarjetas están soportadas. Funcionan muy bien. Producto recomendable

Had al meerdere intel clones geprobeerd in mijn pfsense router maar ze bleven maar problemen geven. Beetje sceptisch deze besteld en na installatie geen uitval gehad. Dus perfecte kaart.

Ich benutze die Karte mit einem ASUS Prime N100I-D D4 Mainboard, und betreibe darauf einen Firewall (pfSense) läuft jetzt seit 5 Monate ohne Probleme.

Ero alla ricerca di una scheda di rete compatibile con ESXi vmware. Per questo s.o. sono menzionate schede con un costo molto elevato. Volevo avere una scheda compatibile con ESXi, ma allo stesso tempo senza spendere un capitale. Dopo varie ricerche ho trovato questa, ottima con dual port. Riconosciuta immediatamente da ESXi e funziona benissimo. Costo giusto, consegna puntuale e venditore disponibile.
