**Q: How can I tell if my Toilet is pre or post 2003?**
A: OK. It turns out that my toilet was PRE-2003. There is a difference in some of the parts - so you cant use this for a complete replacement. In my case only that part that attaches to the seat itself was broken. I kept the other parts from the original hinge (crucially including the parts that attach to the lid) and managed to get them fitted. Its not ideal - but should be Ok for a few years.

**Q: I bought my toilet in Aug 2003. will this fir my toilet. If not could I return?**
A: I can’t answer the question about returns but I have used these parts in a toilet seat the same age.

**Q: hi i just need the little grub screws  to fix the hinge back on can I get these separately?**
A: You seem to have your answer from Terry Charnell.  Trouble with this hinge kit is that you can't buy individual bits. All I wanted was the semi circular plate with ring hinges but had to buy the whole lot (£30-40 odd). It's the second time that the ring hinge has come unwelded.

**Q: how do I loosen a screw from space saver toilet seat. ?**
A: There are two screws that attach the hinge assembly to the seat, these can be undone using a pozidrive or Phillips screwdriver.  It is easier if you remove the whole seat and hinge assembly from the Space Saver toilet pan, using the plastic nut tightened provided with the hinge kit.
