CL155 Mortice Latch Silver Grey

Had one of these on my garage back door for the last four years and its been outside in all kinds of foul weather with no protection at all, its on a flush door so totally exposed. It works brilliant and saves having to find a key each time you want access. You can also lock the latch in so that the door does not lock every time. The weather has done nothing to stop it working okay and the finish has not tarnished whatsoever. We have now built an extension so the back door is now inside the main building and needed replacing with a fire door. I decided to re-use the codelock on the new door. One small issue was that I drilled a hole a little too small for the backset and it got stuck. When trying to pull it out I snapped the front plate off and basically buggered up the latch. A replacement latch (backset) is almost the same cost as the entire unit so I have bought another one instead. I cannot fault the unit at all. It was my stupidity that caused it to break. Top tip: the backset hole is 25mm. Use auger bits rather than speed cutters as they are much more controllable and give a neater hole.

Easy to install but it was being fitted in the same place as an old one that had worn out through use over several years.

Excellent quality and value, managed to fit the keypad fine but cannot seem to be able to get the internal handle/ lock to operate. !!!! help.?

Das Schloss erscheint mir gut verarbeitet, auch wenn es etwas fummelig einzubauen ist. Für deutsche Normtüren Türen eher schlecht geignet, da sich der Hersteller anscheinend an englische Türen orientiert. Keine Batterien und kein Stromanschluss notwendig, eben einfach und funktionell. Einzig die Festlegung des Codes empfand ich als etwas nervig aber durchaus machbar. Auch wenn das Schloss für mein Gartentor letztendlich nicht langfristig geeignet ist, weil sich das Holztor und der Rahmen bei Feuchtigkeit extrem verziehen und die Tür entweder klemmt oder wenn das Holz trocken ist und die Tür dann nicht mehr verriegelbar ist, halte ich das Codelocks trotzdem für sehr gut, nur eben nicht für mein Aqua-Tor. Besser geeignet ist da sicherlich ein Schloss mit Obenflächenriegel, wie auch von Codelocks, Gazechimp oder Magideal angeboten
