The mug itself is great, it's not that cheap ceramic or whatever that a lot of mugs are made from, you know the cheap stuff that looks like it was made in a 7th grade art class in the school kiln. The barbed wire feels like rubber, so don't worry about getting stuck with metal or glass. We haven't put it through the dishwasher, but we've used and washed it by hand a number of times, and it's holding up well. It is awesome! I know I'm supposed to stick to the product review and not comment about shipping and the company. With that being said I hope this review is posted because the customer service I received from the company and Amazon was outstanding when I received the second product it was flawless, it looked great and I've used it for several weeks before wrapping it as a Christmas gift for my wife. I do recommend this item and I'm actually thinking of getting one for myself, the only thing stopping me is I would like one that's a little different because she tends to have lipstick on hers, I don't like lipstick.
