Purchased this stainless steel hook because the coated KitchenAid stand mixer one started chipping into my dough. It works great with the stand mixer. Good quality as well.

Good quality dough hook. Heavy, not cheap. Balls up the dough in seconds and is a perfect fit in my kitchen aid mixer.

Stainless steel is a superior material for things that come into contact with food. I wonder why the original attachments used material that oxidizes and leaves black residue (aluminum, I think). This dough hook is worth the money.
