Whilst this is a 3 phase meter, it is equally happy on a single phase system - just link all 3 inputs together. It's very easy to install, but does require a 240Vac supply - easily found if it's being installed into a consumer unit. Wi-fi connection is simple enough but will require a smartphone/tablet/laptop etc to get it set up. The Shelly app works well and keeps a log of energy usage for its own graphs. The meter also understands the concept of feeding energy back into the grid (PV etc). This model can also be integrated into the EcoFlow system to control the output of their PowerStream micro-inverters to maximise the usage of "home grown" energy before taking expensive units from the grid. It works well in that respect.

This Shelly 3EM needs to be wired into your main electric distribution board so it really needs a qualified electrician. Once wired in it works well and gives you a lot of information. I'm using it with single phase and so I can monitor up to 3 power feeds. I've also paired this with an Ecoflow PowerStream and the Shelly helps to automate the whole system. Very good product once you get it wired in.

It does what it says on the box and for the price is good, HOWEVER, this is now a discontinued product by Shelly and isn't available on their website. You can still get support BUT they do recommend you go with the EM-63W Gen3 (W for Wired or T for Tag I think), however you can also use Shelly EM Gen3, Shelly Pro EM-50 and Shelly Pro 3EM-120A and purchase a 50amp CT clam for about £10 rather than using the big bulky 120amp ones! Also got it connected to Home Assistant and the Shelly Mobile App.

Monitors energy consumption brilliantly, I bough this as it is now compatible with the EcoFlow Powerstream, no more need for smart plugs, this device monitors whole house consumption and lets the PowerStream micro inverter know what to feed in to the house.

If you have a powerstream the shelly will allow you to get the true grid pulled watts and you can get rid of all the powerstream plugs ,allows automations with powerstream . this is a must .

Works ok but drops WiFi connection 20 to 30 times a day despite being only 5 ft away from the router. Not sure if it's common or a faulty unit so returned for a refund

J'ai récemment installé le Shelly 3EM pour suivre la production de mon système photovoltaïque, et voici mon retour d'expérience : Points positifs : Installation facile : Le Shelly 3EM est assez simple à installer, surtout avec l'application Shelly Cloud. Il est livré avec des instructions claires, et en tant qu'utilisateur non-expert, j'ai pu l'intégrer rapidement à mon installation solaire. Mesure de la production et de la consommation : Le compteur 3EM mesure non seulement la production photovoltaïque, mais aussi la consommation en temps réel. J’apprécie particulièrement le fait qu'il permette de suivre la consommation d'énergie sur chaque canal, ce qui est parfait pour optimiser l’utilisation de mon électricité produite. Contrôle bidirectionnel : Le fait que le Shelly 3EM soit bidirectionnel permet de suivre non seulement ce que je produis, mais aussi ce que je renvoie à mon réseau, ce qui est essentiel pour moi. Compatibilité avec Alexa et Google Home : Une autre fonctionnalité très pratique est sa compatibilité avec Alexa et Google Home. Je peux consulter mes données de production et de consommation d'énergie à l'aide de simples commandes vocales, ce qui rend l'ensemble du système encore plus intuitif à utiliser. Application mobile intuitive : L'application Shelly (disponible sur iOS et Android) est très facile à utiliser et offre une vue d'ensemble claire de la production d'énergie, avec des graphiques et des rapports détaillés. Points négatifs : Nécessite une bonne connexion Wi-Fi : Comme il se connecte via Wi-Fi, il est important d'avoir une connexion stable pour garantir une transmission fluide des données. Pas d'affichage intégré : Le Shelly 3EM n’a pas d’écran intégré, ce qui signifie qu’il faut utiliser l’application mobile ou une plateforme compatible pour consulter les données. Cela peut ne pas plaire à certains utilisateurs qui préféreraient un affichage local sur le dispositif. Conclusion : Le Shelly 3EM est un excellent choix pour ceux qui souhaitent surveiller la production et la consommation d'énergie de leur système photovoltaïque de manière simple et connectée. Il offre des fonctionnalités complètes, une installation facile et une grande compatibilité avec des plateformes domotiques comme Alexa et Google Home. Je le recommande vivement à ceux qui souhaitent optimiser leur gestion énergétique à la maison tout en ayant un suivi précis de leur système solaire.

This unit is wider than your typical 1-pole circuit breaker. So make sure you have room in your circuit panel (I didn’t and so had to return it). Accuracy is not that great and will typically read a couple of watts even when there’s nothing else plugged in the circuit

El empaquetado y envío correcto y rápido, el equipo una vez configurado funciona correctamente y es bastante acertado en cuanto a precisión de la medida. Trae tres pinzas de 120A, la instalación es bastante sencilla, pero hay que tener un mínimo de conocimientos de electricidad para instalarlo. Las instrucciones tanto para instalar y sobre todo, para acceder y añadir a algún sistema domótico, son muy poco intuitivas. La aplicación de Shelly, imprescindible para configurarlo en Shelly Cloud, me dio varios errores y se congelaba constantemente, ahora parece funcionar bien, pero me costó añadir el 3EM a la aplicación. Ojo, porque parece que va a ser discontinuado porque ya ha salido el EM3 3 gen y este ya no aparece en la página oficial de Shelly. En mi caso para añadirlo como meter a un sistema solar de balcón, tenia que ser este modelo. Para añadirlo a la app de Shelly, antes hay que acceder a la wifi que crea el dispositivo, buscando la Ip del mismo que es la del “router” de la wifi, después configurarlo para que se conecte a la wifi doméstica, (ojo, que una vez configurado solo será accesible a través de la wifi doméstica y de la ip que está le asigne), después añadirlo a la app de Shelly a través de la opción “escanear red” poniendo tu red doméstica. Y por último añadirlo a tu sistema domótico… nada intuitivo para personas sin unos conocimientos mínimos.
