This is expensive. Am I even getting the actual product?** A: I would think there SHOULD be one so I’d be concerned also. Most liquid items have one for safety and to keep product from leaking during shipping process. I would call Nexus themselves re the seal issue. You won’t get an answer from them here. **Q: is this formaldehyde free?** A: Nexxus does not formulate products with formaldehyde. Select formulas, however, use preservative ingredients that release trace amounts of formaldehyde donors into the product to keep it from spoiling. The independent US Cosmetic Ingredient Review Expert Panel and Europe’s Scientific Community on Consumer Safety have both confirmed that formaldehyde donors are safe for cosmetic use. **Q: Does this product contain alcohol?** A: There is a picture available that shows the back of the bottles, and the ingredients. **Q: Why am I having so much trouble getting the product out of the bottles?** A: The conditioner in particular is really thick. What I do is to add just a little bit of water to the bottle and shake it up good. The product is still thick, but dispenses much more easily.
