I really dislike sight reading but this book was invaluable in helping me to pass my grade 2. It contains a series of short sight reading exercises exactly as you would receive them in the exam. Had I not got the book, I very likely would have failed that part of the exam!

Important for anyone sitting Grade 2 piano
Anyone prepping for Grade 2 piano really needs this so that they can practise for the exam. The book provides plenty of sample pieces of the correct length.

Need to Know - sight test
A good teacher is able to invent many examples of these tests to prepare a student for this part of the practical examination but it's always a good idea to have a set of specimens to guide yo uin demonstrating not onlywhat is required but what you can ignore when working out where the marks are and how to work your way up from pass to distinction.
