Slice 10514-CS Auto-Retractable Mini Cutter, Pack of 12

Great little cutting device, safe to use. As its magnetic, I keep mine on my cooker hood, so when parcels arrive, its right to hand.

Attach this to an retractable reel and you've got an fast and efficient working tool. I use this at work for cutting through shrink wrap and opening boxes with little effort. Much better than the traditional Stanley knife. It isn't as sharp but doesn't get blunt which saves you a lot of money.

Be careful with this item it is advertised as a pack of 12 but I only received 1 cutter At £11.99 this is very expensive for what you get.

When I purchased the Slice Mini Cutter their were 2 options. The first option was for a Pack of 12. The second option was for a Pack of 1. Seeing as it was about £2 more for the Pack of 12 Slice Mini Cutters, this was what I opted for. When my order arrived it was only for a Pack of 1. Amazon claimed it was a Warehouse error. Placed the same order again & exactly the same outcome, I only get sent one Mini Cutter. The annoying thing is that Amazon knows the Pack of 12 doesn’t exist yet they are continuing to sell a non existent item! The Mini Cutter is quite good for what it is but I found it slightly awkward having to push & keep the small amount of blade out for the whole time that I was cutting. This device would be much better if you could lock it with the blade out. I took it apart to look at the size of the Ceramic Blade inside the Mini Cutter housing to find that the blade is quite large but only a very small area of the blade would ever be used. It’d make much more sense if more of the blade could be deployed so you could use more of it hence then being able to cut into thicker cardboard boxes. If your looking for a Cermaic Blade Mini Cutter, id have to recommend the Slice Pen Version instead. The Pen Version allows you to deploy more of the blade & it locks with the blade out so no more having to hold the blade in the same position whilst trying to use it. I’d give 5 stars for the Pen Cutter as this addresses the issues that I have with the Mini Cutter. Great concept and nice looking product - we have bought several Slice products. Sadly this one fell apart after 3 weeks and isn't durable enough.

Not actually a pack of 12, you only get a single one! Besides that it is a handy tool that I can stick up on the fridge and easily tear through boxes whenever I need it.

Blunt as a butter knife and only received one knife. It said pack of 12?!?!?

Ich hatte mir das Messer (trotz der schlechten Kundenrezension) zum öffnen von Verpackungen wie Kartons, Blisterverpackungen und Luftpolsterumschlägen gekauft. Und ich muß sagen,ich bin positiv überrascht. Die Mechanik funktioniert einwandfrei: Die Klinge muß mit dem Daumen gegen eine Feder nach außen geschoben werden, bei Nichtgebrauch verschwindet die Klinge durch den Federdruck automatich wieder im Gehäuse und kann niemanden verletzen. Die Keramikklinge ist so scharf, dass selbst mit viel Paketband zugeklebte Kartons und Luftpolsterumschläge spielend leicht und ohne viel Fummelei zu öffnen sind. Doch vorsicht ! Mit der scharfen Klinge durchdringt man Umschläge und Papier sehr schnell und verletzt unter Umständen darunter liegende Materialien wie Briefe, Zeitschriften, Tischdecke und den Tisch selber. Also bitte immer auf eine dicke Unterlage achten (zum Beispiel eine alte nicht mehr benötigte Zeitschrift oder ein Stück Karton), damit Möbel und wichtige Post nicht beschädigt werden! Auf der Rückseite des Messers befindet sich ein Arretierknopf. Dreht man ihn 90° entgegen den Uhrzeigersinn, lässt sich das Messergehäuse öffnen und die Keramikklinge austauschen. Aber wann wird eine Keramikklinge mal stumpf ? Einziger Nachteil: der hohe Preis von 14,60 Euro. Aber mal ehrlich: man gibt heutzutage so viel Geld für für irgendwelchen Mist aus und hier ist das Geld, trotz des hohen Preises, sinnvoll angelegt. Dieses Messer hat mir schon viele gute Dienste geleistet und ist für mich das ideale Verpackungsmesser. Ich würde es jederzeit wieder kaufen.

Nella precedente recensione per questo prodotto ho scritto che non taglia e che la lama sembra fatta in plastica più che in ceramica. Ebbene, dopo averla provata meglio devo ricredermi. Taglia! Ma non lo dico perché l'ho provata sulla mia pelle. Il taglio però non viene pulito e rimane il fatto che non è adatto a tagliare altri materiali come plastica e imballaggi. Tuttavia rimangono ancora alcune pecche che mi hanno portato a votare l'articolo con solo due stelle. L'oggetto in questione sembra assemblato male. Ci sono delle parti, specie la lama, fissate male e che danno l'impressione di essere molto delicate e fragili, e quindi di potersi rompere da un momento all'altro. Economico, si potrebbe dire. Ma io dico scarso visto il prezzo, sopravvalutato per via del design ricercato che ne fa comunque un bell'oggetto. Inoltre sul retro c'è un meccanismo di sicurezza costituito da una rotella piatta facente parte dello spessore dell'oggetto che non funziona. Ho provato a girarla sia in senso orario che anti orario ma niente, non va. La lama fuoriesce tranquillamente indipendentemente dal verso in cui è orientata la rotella di sicurezza. A mio parere, dei quindici euro che costa questo oggetto, ne vale al massimo meno un terzo. Davvero, scarsa qualità, evitate. Aggiornamento: Non ostante l'oggetto sia di scarsa qualità mi piaceva, e così ho deciso di tenerlo cancellando il mio reso. Appena un giorno dopo, mentre provo a capire come mai la rotella di sicurezza non funziona, girandola per fare delle prove, il taglierino si apre in due... Siamo ai limiti della scarsa qualità. Alla luce di questo fatto ho deciso di procedere nuovamente con il mio reso (e di abbassare di un punto il voto che ho dato all'oggetto). Adesso aspetto il rimborso da parte di Amazon.

Bisher habe ich zum Öffnen von Paketen immer einen klassischen Cutter benutzt. Auch immer mit der Gefahr, dass ich im Eifer des Gefechtes zu tief schneide. Zudem verschwinden die Cutter immer wieder, weil sie an anderen Orten im Hause genutzt werden. Und der letzte Punkt hat mich dazu gebracht, diesen Minischneider mit Keramikklinge zu bestellen. Er schneidet problemlos Kartons und mehrere Lagen Klebeband. Sogar vor dünneren Blisterverpackungen macht er nicht halt. Das schöne ist tatsächlich, dass die Klinge nur etwa vier bis fünf Millimeter ausgefahren wird. Die Chance damit etwas in der Verpackung zu zerschneiden ist meiner Meinung nach relativ gering. Die Klinge ist übrigens federnd gelagert und zieht sich nach dem Loslassen des Schiebers ins sichere Gehäuse zurück. So besteht fast keine Verletzungsgefahr. Einen Stern Abzug gibt es für den relativ hohen Preis. Mein Fazit trotzdem: Kaufempfehlung!
