Right after I put on a pair of nylon knee highs and sprayed a little more. I used a shoehorn to slide on my shoes. After a few seconds, I was ready to go. I was able to put on my favorite shoes again and they were comfortable. I am not recommending it; however, I used the shoe stretch on a pair of non-=leather patent leather shoes. So far, no problems. As far as the rate features. I can only say the product came well packaged in a little plastic bag. There were no leaks. The product did not over stretch my shoes either. You could try that before ordering and, if it's not enough, take the boots to a shoe repair with the appropriate boot stretching tool. If you do the latter, make sure to soak it with some warm water and wear them right away. I had some boots stretched in the instep, didn't wear them in a while and when I tried them on the stretching had partially gone away. **Q: someone else asked this question, too, does this product work on sneakers? I believe mine are at least leather toed.
