Will this work well in a enclosed cupboard?

I wouldn’t recommend it unless you intend to put vent holes in the back of the cupboard and put the unit directly in front of them. You will also want vent holes in the bottom so it can draw cool air in. For instance, if you have an AV receiver that would be placed at bottom above vent holes with th fan unit on top of it and exhaust holes behind it.
