Are there any applications which require two rods? Why not offer a single rod option?

We offer two rods at the similar costs of a single rod for better cost-saving for commercial applications. Commercial installation might need more, So we have 2 or 4 in a package for customer value added purchase. If you just need one rod for home application, you can choose our 6ft rod kit, or 2 of 8ft for better installation effect. As far as i know the more rods with earth contact,the more effective grounding will be.

What makes your rod cost 2.5 times local store, does it have more copper or some special feature?

thank you for your question. A: the package quabtity is 2 pcs for the price. B: it's UL listed with minimum copper 10mils thickness, thicker than non-UL 2mil or 5mils. C: it's free shipping to-door delivery, not store pick up .

What gage wire sould be usedwith these?

This ground Rod is UL listed compliant with nec code. The guage of wire depends on where you use it for. For Lightning protection, The guage of wire is better to be at least 4awg, for electric fence, 10awg minimum depends on the ground Rod clamp wire range. This ground rod doesn't include ground clamp, ground clamp clamp can be purchased separately at this store.
