French-English Bilingual Visual Dictionary with Free Audio App (DK Bilingual Visual Dictionary)

What I really like in this book is the illustration of a wide range of vocabulary. It worked very well for me. Be careful: if you need to improve your French grammar, this is not the proper book for you. This book will teach you a wide range of basic and a bit more advanced words that can pop in everyday life, eg at the supermarket, at the hospital, in a casual conversation with French-speakers. However, having a basic level in French is a requirement in order to be able to make the best use of this book.

Really, this is a good find - all the most common words with regard to each of the most common topics in our daily lives. If you want to study from just one vocab book for maximum progress in every day communication with French people, I’d say this one is a good shout.

I haven’t tired of looking at this dictionary! Each double page has a theme and so when looking for a word it’s interesting to see related words. We actually bought this for our daughter but we are all enjoying flicking through it and have now bought the Spanish one too. I have taken a star off as there’s no indication of the gender of the word in the case of plurals or if the word starts with a vowel (as mentioned by others) and this is something i always struggle with! My French husband has also noticed a couple of typos (ooops) but it hasn’t stopped us enjoying the book and we would recommend to anyone.

Really good little dictionary - very helpful. haven't used the app yet but that looks good as well. High quality illustrations & easy to use.

Bought it as a present. I love this book. I have myself one in Portuguese. And both another one in English for a family member. I highly recommend it to anyone who learn languages ! I learn in my life 9 different languages and if i knew this book before i would skyrocket my language skills. Pocket size so handy to take with you. Good price. Nothing bad to say about it? Premium product make it easy to remember words when they are so well explained/showed. Looove it!

ll regalo più apprezzato a Natale è stato sicuramente questo dizionario. È facile da usare per chi sta imparando la lingua, e utile per un veloce ripasso ( i vocaboli sono divisi per categorie).

Très joli dictionnaire visuel. De très nombreux sujets sont abordés comme les transports,la nourriture, les sports, le travail, la santés, etc... Son format permet également de l'avoir toujours sur soi Absence de phonétique, mais une application est disponible sur Mobile et tablette où l'on pourra contrôler la prononciation des mots. Le livre ne précise pas le nom de l'appli (ou je ne l'ai pas vu) mais on la trouve en tapant "dk visual dictionary" ou "Bilingual Dictionary Audio App" Je suis très satisfait de cet achat
