Had considerable trouble installing. Actually, went to a different lid stay because of this. Did not send back, as it was not defective, just not good instructions.

This was bought for a new pantry we installed in our house. The door it holds up is rather large, awkward, and heavy. The hinge holds it up and we have no concerns of one of us being decapitated.
