Is that correct?** A: This is not my experience. The installation instructions are downloadable from the Philips website and are pretty clear. A PVC circular box is screwed to the wall, then the fitting covers the box completely and screws into the box with machine screws. Two points to note: one bulb has already blown - try to get a "rough service" GLS bulb which has a thicker filament. The other fitting is near to the gas boiler flue and turns on if the wind blows the warm flue gas past the sensor. Doesn't bother me but may be annoying to neighbours. **Q: Can you set this to sensor mode only...rather then it staying on all night cab i just come on when detects movement** A: Yes's, on the bottom bit, where the sensor is, there are two dials, they look like plastic screws. One adjusts for how dark you want it before it comes on and the other is how long it stays on for. **Q: What's the best screw fittings to buy for this? Annoying they are not in the box!** A: I used a size 6 drill bit and wall plugs and screws to match (fitted into a brick wall), the lamp isn't heavy so you shouldn't need anything larger.
