The Previous Generation Improved Upon Hugely
I am not what I'd consider an audiophile... but I do care quite a bit about what I consider "sound quality". most of what i listen to are MQ files downloaded on deezer (fiio m11plus) or the entire collection of nin live audio files (also on the same device). i switch around headphones, preferring over-ear for the best quality and comfort, but the bluetooth earbuds for convenience and forced isolation when out in public. i love these headphones. i had the previous iteration... and they rocked. but they wouldn't connect with my dap unless i used the adaptor cable (annoying) and, besides, they went through the washing machine. these sound great, fit well (i usually can;t even wear earbuds - the "best" earbuds, the sony-you knows?. so uncomfortable... same with the apple ones)... hell, they are downright comfortable, maybe even a little more so than their predecessors. they are beautifully made, have that nice expensive feel. As previously stated, i'm not an expert, so the following reviews are more or less based on my personal preferences (loud "music" that sounds like noise to philistines, rock, classical, old school hip hop, really old country, and a few real oddball items)... Mostly stuff that, well, all of it requires completely different "flavors" of headphone tonality: the P2 does a truly excellent job at a lot of what i ;iisten to (lucky for me it does best with the EDM/industrial/rock/OSHH; my faves), a completely passable job on almost everything else, and a somewhat mediocre job on stuff like classical, mostly because this is a bass-heavy, ckear and piercing highs, occasionally buried mids AND suffers from an inability to get loud enough, expecially wrt certain frequencies. The quality of your audio device makes a real difference. These sound buttery and smooth with my fiio, but even when i FINALLY got them to bind with my astell&kerns (2) they sounded kind of weak, to tell the truth. Buuuuuut everything else, pretty much, sounded great with these suckers, including my phonea (samsung z fold 2 and 12 pro iphone). i'd say go for 'em.

Not Up to B&W Standards
First off, I extensively compared these to the PI7 and did not notice much if any difference. Decided to go with the PI5 due to price. Also, the PI5 had less connectivity issues than the PI7 which I returned due to constantly dropping the BT signal. The headphones sound pretty great, no major complaints there. The case lid is a bit of a challenge in that it snaps shut all the time while I'm using it. No big deal but annoying. I wish it had a detent to keep it open. The connectivity is only okay. If the B&W app is running while I listen to another music service they cut out a lot. This is accompanied by nasty crinkling sounds of static. If the B&W app is not running I don't have this issue. The app is basically useless. I use it to check the battery life. Beyond that it has no useful functionality. Battery life is mediocre. Yesterday I was working all day with the headphones in at modest volume. The charge lasted about 4 hours before the headphones died. They were fully 100% charged at the onset. Noise cancellation is okay, not great. I was excited to finally own B&W product. Unfortunately they did not live up to normal use expectations.

Would rate 5 Stars if it has add up or down volume controls

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!👎👎👎👎👎
🤬 Ok where do I start 🤔? Ok I was very excited getting these headphones! I thought they were going to be the best headphones I've ever bought but after a couple of days with them I very learn quickly that these are the worst headphones I've ever had The sound is okay I thought it was going to be way better I think because of the company but the worst thing about these headphones is definitely the battery life I mean you let it charge all day you put them on 30 minutes later they're already dying and I just don't understand why the best sounding company in the world can make something so terrible I mean this is a joke and then look how much they charge for these f****** headphones to robbery!

good sound, comfy
five stars because there’s no major complaints except pass thru and my main want is good enough sound with no wires. 6.5/10 over all, comfy, cute, good sound, fine ANC, minor connectivity issues- usually just put headphones in case and take them out to fix it but sometimes have to set them up again, mid battery, pass thru sucks and sounds like I’m listening to the subway thru sea shells that amplify noise and completely drown out what’s playing, I just turn off ANC when I need pass thru.

Expected MUCH more from B&W
These earbuds are just OK. But I expected MUCH more from B&W. APP: Practically cero app controls, only turning on and off noise control. Absolutely nothing more. My kids Beats have more controls in their app. Sound Quality: The sound quality is ok but not what you would expect from B&W. They just sound ok. That simple. Better quality from my kid’s entry level Beats. Controls: Apart from no app control, the buds have no volume control! It really sucks having to go to the phone every time you want to adjust volume on one song. In summary, I would NOT buy them again if I had the chance. My family have Bose, Beats and AirPods Pro and they are MUCH better sounding and working earbuds. Very disappointing product from what is otherwise a fantastic brand!! Edit 2025: With time they start losing audio clarity. The volume and clarity in the right earbud has decreased substantially over time. Really bad choice of earbuds.

Sound quality for listening to music is more enjoyable and full than the original AirPod Pro, but for making calls they are not good and I get complaints that they do no hear what I say which is not the case with my AirPods. A pity really.

Absolutely amazing sound quality and product has a high end feel to it. Charging speed is good and they fit great in my ears. Paired easily with my iPhone and love the fact they auto pause when you remove them from your ear. They are on the expensive side, but quality isn't cheap.

Really like the buds. Indeed the sound is crystal clear, and I enjoy listening music with this buds. I bought those buds like the second pair for leisure listening. BUT ... What I don't like is the app, doesn't give you to much freedom on fine tunes, or to adjust the sound level from the earbuds, if you want to control the volume, you need to use the phone (go back where you left your phone, or take it out from the pocket) to lower or rise the volume. I am comparing those buds and the app with Jabra Elite 8 2nd generation (use for gym time, and those are sound great), and on those you can control the volume from the earbuds, also you can adjust the fine tunes on your own preferences, and you can adjust the Hearing Through level, based on your own preferences. I would recommend to Bower and Wilkins to take a look on Jabra app and learn something from those guys.

For me it is a love-hate relationship. The sound is stellar. It's magical. It's the best there is. Design, visual appeal, materials and workmanship is also great. But the rest is mediocre. ANC is nominal, battery, though improved, yet leaves some room for improvement. The new app is even more limited then the previous version. They removed equalizer, you cannot customize touch controls etc. But they give you free subscription for some streaming services, which is nice. So I ended up returning my Pi5 S2, but with the strong intention to buy Pi7 S2 when they're on sale.
