How hard is to unscrew after this has been set for awhile?

Comes apart with minimal force, it is a sealant not a thread locker. It works especially well on sealing thread that are not tapered pipe threads. I use this on my harley fluid drain plugs

Does this product solidify after 72 hrs as cited in the tds? after being applied for 52 hrs it remains a soft tacky paste.

Hello. I use this product quite often. It holds very well, seals very well. I just put some on my differential fill plug and seals it great. To answer your question, this product, when first put on threaded hardware will be wet and soft and be able to seal low pressure and intermediate pressure. Parts can be readjusted, torqued, etcetera with in 24 hours of application. 72 hours just means it is fully cured and can withstand higher pressures. But, once applied, it holds very well within hours. Definitely within 24 hours. It does not solidify, it stays wet and soft. It's good stuff. Hope this helped. BJ

I was told i could use this on an oil pressure sending unit and seen on websites it could be used. so someone just told me I shouldn't. So can i?

Yes, it works great. I use it on oil and brake system components exposed to high pressures and temperatures. No leaks, ever. Make sure it is applied to clean Dry threads. Use a solvent to clean threads, let dry, then apply the permatex. Be careful not to cross thread. Don't overtighten!! Cheers

Will this work on differential bolts that thread through into the case and are exposed to differential fluid?

Hello Michal. Yes this thread sealant does work on sealing differential fluid. I have used and know for sure it works on sealing the differential fill plug. If your referring to the cover bolts, you need a gasket or gasket maker to seal the cover. I'm not sure what bolts your referring to, but yes this sealant will seal differential fluid. Excellent stuff

I bought this as I've always had a slight weep on my vans sump plug when i do an oil change despite using a new plug and washer every time i used this and its gone now.. it states it doesn't set so I just hope I can undo it when I do my oil next but im confident it will... iv ended up using on other stuff around the house so its proved more useful than I initially thought

Mix the sealant within the tube as per the instructions.

Follow the instructions properly and mix the sealant be kneading the tube top to bottom. I've applied it to the fill and drain plugs on a transfer box, and two differentials, that's six plugs in total. Not a single drop of oil has leaked out.
