Billie Wax Kit - Face & Bikini - 32 wax strips - 6 post-wax serum wipes

For the price, convenience and efficiency of this product I’m giving 5 stars! I’m a licensed esthetician but I hate waxing! It’s so messy and it becomes an entire process when you have to use traditional wax. These came to my doorstep and within 20 minutes my arms are hairless! My arm hair is usually the area I neglect. I usually have no problem shaving my legs every week but my arms always feel like such a chore. Since I’ve been shaving them since I was about 12, (I know, stupid), I have no other choice but to keep up with it because now the hair grows in the strangest directions, plus I am just not a fan of body hair. Based on other reviews I don’t think I’d recommend this product for thick hair, it seemed to do a great job with somewhat thinner hair. The bad reviews also make me wonder how they were using this product. Keep in mind no matter what form wax comes in, it still needs to be applied to clean, dry skin! So, no lotion, body oil, etc. I applied baby powder to my arms to make sure it was soaking up any natural oils to ensure a good grip on the hair. Also, keep in mind you need to apply this in the direction of hair growth and remove in the opposite direction and your hair needs to be a certain length! You’ll need to apply significant pressure to make sure this is really grabbing the hairs. I used 4 large strips (2 pairs) and 2 small strips (1 pair) on each arm. Each strip is very clear about which end you should pull from, theres a larger area without wax on one end. Just like any wax job there are of course a few strays that I just cleaned up with tweezers. Looks like I should get at least 4 more waxes from this box! Took before and after shots with and without flash. Of course my skin looks irritated, I just ripped hair and the top layer of skin off. If you use this product, remember not to go over any area more than twice, then you’ll hurt yourself. Will definitely buy again!

Love it I can do my face using less product. I like the fact that these are reusable. Meaning you can do at least 2 areas using the same strip. I like the smooth clean feel afterwards. Be careful these are very strong. DO NOT USE ACROSS YOU TOP LIP. IT WILL REMOVE SKIN. OUCH!!!! I have stubborn grey chin hairs. This product gets my face smooth as a babies bottom. I love and recommend it.

DO. NOT. BUY. THESE. I've normally used hard wax in a warmer, but since I'm broke and in a pinch I tried to use these. My armpit hair is no longer than a bit over a grain of rice (as recommended.) I washed and baby powdered to insure there was NO moisture. First off when you take them apart, if you accidentally drop them it gets that sticky stuff EVERYWHERE. On to the applying, I applied these strips exactly as directed, against the grain of the hair and my husband held my skin taught and pulled them off. A LOT of pain for what? 5 hairs? Then the box claims that one strip can be used 3-4 times. That is FALSE. It can be used ONCE if that. Now my armpits are patchy and I can gaurentee billy will take 0 accountability for this product.

Great wax kit for maintenance, especially on the face. It worked really well for smaller areas and was easy to use. I didn’t have any irritation after using it, which was a big plus. For thicker or more coarse hair, I’d say it’s better for maintenance rather than a first-time wax. It handled lighter hair great, but may take more effort on heavier growth. The only downside is it did leave a bit of residue, but I was able to remove it easily with coconut oil. Overall, it’s a good option for touch-ups and smaller areas.

Left a lot of residue which became a bit of a hassle to clean up. Also I think the wipes came dried out? I found that I was also not really able to use the strips multiple times. However, there was NO pain while waxing, and my skin was not red nor irritated. There was some very minor bleeding but that's because I have thick, coarse hair. This product is good for maintenance but not really great for a first wax.

I don’t think I’d buy these again. I’ve used similar strip kits from other brands before, and I didn’t like these as much. I have fair, sensitive skin that typically takes a day or two for the red bumps to go away after waxing, no matter if I see a professional or DIY. I used these strips on my bikini line. The first pass did remove lots of hair, but left some behind, and you’re not supposed to go over the same spot twice. They claim to be reusable, but I found that the stickiness was greatly decreased on the 2nd pass, even after trying to warm it a bit with my hands. So I would say the reusability factor is just not there. When I was done, I had some sticky residue spots that the wipes did a poor job with. The wipes seemed too dry to work well, and they also have an unpleasant musty smell. Next time I’ll just use some plain oil I already have, like jojoba. Or better yet, next time I’ll just get it done professionally so I don’t end up with a bunch of patches left behind.

I didn’t have high hopes for these but they actually work great!
