The quality of this fire blanket appears to be excellent. I love that it is quite easy remove from the case and the case is designed to be hung. You can place the case in places within easy reach of fire prone locations. Because the blanket is reasonably priced, we have one hanging on the inside of our pantry door and another in the laundry closet. I have also bought ones for my son’s two families for their kitchen and laundry areas for gifts. I’m glad it haven’t needed to use it, but assume that it would do its job if necessary. When it first arrived, there was an off-gassing odor. I placed it on our covered porch and within a day, the odor was gone.

This is a difficult item to review because you hope to never actually use it. It arrived on time. I like that it is a 2-pack, because I will take one to my summer cottage, and keep the other at my year-round home. It seems to be well made. The price was reasonable. It comes with clear, easy to understand instructions. It is well designed for an emergency. the instructions are printed right on the front of it, so that if you panic, you can see what to do. You hang it up in an easy to access location, and in an emergency, you just pull the straps and it pops out for instant use. A good idea for general household safety that everyone should have.
