Repair those Jeans is so simple with a patch and some good glue
I finally got round to repairing some old jeans with holes at the knee. I used the "no more fraying" glue on the patches and It works well after several machine washes. Great product, value for money, easy to use and does the job so well that 'you can't see the join'.

Ideal if used sparingly
Taking heed of the blobby disasters many other reviewers experienced, I went in with an ultra-conservative approach and it paid off. Rather than dispensing the glue using the nozzle, I used a toothpick to take up the tiniest amount of glue to the edges and wiped away excess immediately. It dries a little silvery, as you can see in the photo, so applying just to the edge itself is the neatest way to do it if the seam will be visible. I had a couple of frayed threads starting in the corner of a welt pocket, which is why I bought this before sewing the other pockets (easier to seal the freshly cut edges!). Using the tiniest amount on the tip of the toothpick let me get into the corner to apply the glue to tuck in the threads whilst not getting any glue on the outside. The amount needed to do the job is so minuscule that I feel this bottle will last me the rest of my sewing life if it does’t go off first, so in that respect, it’s great value! I wish I’d bought this years ago!

Stop fraying
It works well but I don't like the way it dispenses

Does the job but it's just PVA glue
Bought this to fix where my wool carpet has been snagged. Did the job but the glue does dry very hard so use sparingly. Only crit is that it's basically PVA glue which you can get 500ml for a fiver at DIY retailers.

Does the job but wrecks coloured fabric
Does stop the fraying can pull the frayed edges and they won’t fray anymore. Unfortunately it stains coloured material and leaves it unsightly where glue dries. It is basically PVA glue that you have to spread as comes out in blobs.

I use this on the edge of patches for my patch jacket. It's super easy to use-- I put nitrile gloves on, put a bead on a fingertip, and lightly run around the perimeter of the patch, before "pinching" the edges to work it in. It dries clear, if you keep it thin-- I use it on black patches, and it's not noticable at all. Durable and easy to sew through, if you get a bit too far into the patch, and holds up to washing. Great value for how much you get!
