Extremely sharp, high quality and thick blade. Great for heavy duty cutting, especially meat. Too thick for delicate work.

Bought as a gift, looks and feels very nice. Very sharp out of the package, feels well balanced and cuts beautifully. I can't speak to the longevity, ease of sharpening or quality of the steel as I have only used it once when new. I first purchased a cheaper version from a different manufacturer that was on sale on Amazon. That one was absolute trash. This on the other hand appears to be a nice product.

This is a beautiful well-made and extremely sharp knife. I love the blade and the handle on this model. I’m extremely happy with my purchase.

Excellent Santoku, Arrived late but the knife is a pleasure. I read many reviews before purchased and the positive ones hold true. A couple different people said the blade rusts easily, that is probably because they didn't dry the knife properly. Another said they are not Damascus steel, but rather just etched to look like layered Damascus. Untrue, they are Damascus steel. I am pleased with the weight distribution and have no reason to doubt this knife will be very useful to me. I was actually looking for a 6" Santoku but a quality one seems to be hard to find. I am thinking this 7" length will suffice.

Received and it's nice and sharp. I wish it came with a storage case.

Let me start off by saying simply, I love this knife. Out of the box, the edge was perfectly sharpened, and about 200 cuts later, it is still just as sharp. My wife and I cherish homemade sushi nights, and this knife has completely changed the prep work. It cuts with absolute ease, and couldn't be easier to keep clean. It has just the right amount of heft and balance, and only takes a few uses to get accustomed to. You will want to throw out all your old cutlery.

Aparte de que se ve muy padre con esa impresión tipo Damascus, resiste muy bien el filo d su hoja, ya tengo varios días usándolo diario y sigue cortando muy bien, esperemos que dure mucho tiempo

Coltello con lama molto tagliente..comprato per disossare il prosciutto. Il prodotto non è molto pesante, anzi. Belle i disegni sulla lama(non bassorilievi profondi, ma disegni)..mentre le scanalature sono fatte molto bene(in modo che quando tagli non si tiri la carne dietro..) Qualitativamente l'acciaio mi sembra eccellente e l'impugnatura risulta ergonomica. Tutto ok..con riserva di metterlo sotto lavoro. PS: scatola curata, anche se una confezione in legno sarebbe stata ancora più prestigiosa.

Habe mir das Santoku und das Brotmesser zum vergünstigten Preis Anfang März `26 gegönnt. Ein wie ich finde bemerkenswertes Damastmuster, das nicht aufdringlich ist und eine beeindruckende Schärfe out of the Box. Das Schneiden verschiedener Zutaten macht Spaß und Man(n) ist enttäuscht das die Schnippelarbeiten so schnell abgeschlossen sind. Ich habe die Messer noch einmal mit einer Tormek getunt und die Schneiden poliert und konnte eine beeindruckende Schärfe von unter 130 BES erreichen. Insgesamt bieten diese Messer zum Angebotspreis ein beeindruckendes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Der einzige, aber von mir als Mann nicht so sehr ins Gewicht fallende Kritikpunkt, ist das aus Sicht meiner Frau etwas höhere Gewicht dieser Messerlinie von Shan Zu. Alles in allem sind das wunderschöne Klingen die eine außerordentliche Performance abliefern. Zu schön um sie in einem geschlossenen Messerblock zu verstecken.
